I'm fine with leaving the flashback for later and Argon would go to see Rainmaker speech for sure.

EDIT: Chasmfiend, I see you made your character enter Corvallis the same way Argon did. That would be fine, if not for the presence of your huge beast. It is still the same day that Argon entered and I'm afraid I didn't include any monsters in the description of the scene. So now we have three options:

a) I go back and edit Argon's post

B) You edit your post and cut the beast out, at least from the scene where he answers the questions

c) You edit your post and make him enter through another checkpoint

I would personally recommend option c) because everyone is let into Corvallis once a day when the Bubble resets and you didn't mention the events I described in my Argon post (you probably thought that was another day), if your character entered at the same time Argon did, he at least would be aware of the fight that took place there. Also, security officers reported to Buttercup one High Epic entering through Adair Village and only because they spotted an unusual behaviour on their video. Your character answered honestly that he heals incredibly fast, making him a potentially High Epic too. News about him would travel even faster than about Argon. If you enter through some other checkpoint however, there are no continuity problems and also we can come up with a reason, why Buttercup wasn't informed about another High Epic yet.

Hey Chasmfiend, nice post. I apologize for not bringing this up earlier, I had no idea you were coming to Corvallis. A few things;

1) As Mestiv noted, it's probably easiest for you to enter through one of the other checkpoints. Noticeable ones would be the Albany Checkpoints to the northeast, the Tangent Checkpoints to the east, the Wildlife Refuge Checkpoint to the south, the Alsea Highway Checkpoint to the southwest, the Gellatly Checkpoint to the west, and the Beazell Checkpoint slightly north of that. Here's a map with all of the important locations placed on it.

2) Your chasm power won't really go over well with the Queens. Even using it in the southwestern portion of the map, Cornucopia would get really ticked off if you murdered her plants. If you want to use it and not piss the current rulers off, you'll probably have to do it in the northwest, where the terrain is really rugged and foresty. Of course your other option is to just piss them off  :P

3) How fast does Chasmfiend heal? What can kill him? From the way your profile reads, it doesn't sound like he's a High Epic, but it's important to know. For example, my character Buttercup also has healing powers, but anything that renders her heart of brain useless would kill her, as she can't heal instantly, which keeps her from being a High Epic.

4) Perhaps more importantly, how does his healing interact with his Property Enhancement? If he makes his skin stronger or impossible to break, can he become effectively invincible due to his healing powers? To put it another way, do these two powers compliment each other - cover each others weaknesses?

Thanks for the answers, and again I'm sorry I somehow missed him.

Use the map Blaze linked and ask around :)

Thanks! (Next part to whoever knows the answer)

What is the best way to/how do I join in? ThunderSpear is the kind of guy to just want to check the place out, see if there is anything he wants, and take it. As in, a pretty passive role until he encounters someone who stops him from taking what he wants. He also doesn't really care about vanillas, as they don't have any weapons (that he knows of) that can hurt him. He isn't a High Epic, though he does have resilient skin. Sorry if that is way too much/not really enough, if you need more clearly stated information just check out my post for him, page 12 of this question.

Thanks!

If he's new to the city, then entering through a checkpoint sounds like a decent idea.

On a little side note, if human weaponary isn't enough to kill him that means "conventional" methodes of assassination are of the table and that means he's tough enough to be considered High Epic.

Ok.

Oh. I thought that was for Resurrection/Immunity to harm/instant healing. Not for just being resistant enough to shrug off anything weaker than an energy attack :P

Also, planning on using Beazell Checkpoint, that sound good? What should I make sure to add for him starting there? (these to Comatose and anyone else important for Corvallis)

Thanks!

Answering Blaze's questions- ( I don't know how to quote)

1) He will enter through the Tangent Beta Checkpoint. I will edit this.

2) I know this. He will use this only with Rainmaker's permission (he doesn't seem to care about the rest) or outside the city.

3) He can certainly take a shot through the head, and it didn't kill him (this was in the profile), as well as his armor protects the rest of him, so most people and epics in the city can't harm him. He's making sure to ally with the one(s) that can. It's mostly about his weakness, though, not pure strength.

4) I changed his weakness so that they're all the same. Also, making his skin that hard would make it impossible to move. (All of the object/piece has to be enhanced)

Well, I found this.

On a scale of one to ten, how bad is it that I want to write a parody called "How corrupted!Funtimes Won the War"?

Look at the bottom of a comment--it has an option called "Quote". You can also multiQuote by clicking on "MultiQuote" :). Don't worry, that took me almost three hours to find, so you're not alone.

Oh my.

That's my ranking, by the way. On a scale of one to ten, that's an "oh my."

Well 'oh' is another way of saying 0, and 'my' is said phonetically as m-i and MI is 1001, so I guess that means 'oh my' = 01001?

Since I want to have the BirdPin teamup progress quickly I'm gonna have them already be in the city on the 1st post. Is this a good idea Elder RPers?

So...what can kill him? If he can heal and live through a gunshot to the head, what's the point of the armor? A bullet in the brain kills pretty much instantly, so to survive that effectively makes one invincible.

Also, why would he move to the one city, in all the world, that is ruled by an Epic that can activate his weakness on a whim?

I think this is why he went there. He wants to ally himself with his most notable threat. Rainmaker should also be able to stop natural weather that activates his weakness. At least that's my take on it.

I understood that, but my point is it doesn't make sense. Oregon isn't the only place in the world to not "often" suffer from major natural disasters. If his healing is as powerful as described, making him a High Epic, why would he bother going to the one place on Earth that has a resident who can actively choose to activate his weakness on a whim? Add in the complete and utter fear, downright terror, that Epics feel towards their weaknesses, and I can't see an Epic just willing to work as an underling for the one person who can activate theirs.

So, Kobold, Edge, was the Shiny visit to Portland still a possibility?

What happens next with Shiny was never i really set in stone but I'm still all for it and it's not like her conversation with Vondra is doing much to convince her and stay, so her just deciding that she has enough and up and leave is not exactly far off.

I'm pretty much happy to roll with whatever happens on that front.

Then we might be one Vondra post away from her just bolting.
