Audiobook up for pre-order on Audible

It's finally up ya'll.

I'd actually caution preordering right now because the art displayed is still the V2 version with buff Non-Rambodin.  And in my experience the cover art available when you buy is what you're stuck with on Audible.  My Addadon's Gate and Daylight war audiobook covers in the app are just text because that's how it was when I bought them, despite audible later adding the cover art.  No matter if I re-download or even re-install the app it never changes.

Ohh my God, it's listed as 46 hours!  I have a business trip planned on release day so I'm spending the majority of my time listening up front.  I'm relieved this is completed.

HAH! Has anyone read that description yet? Have we seen one that cites Kaladin as the outright leader of the new Knights Radiant??!!

Lol it sounds like who ever wrote this is channelling skar. I want to stick to Teft's statement of kal still not a full knight radiant.

Forget that however, Shallan is mentioned to be trying to look for Urithiru in the Shattered Plains! That's huge!

If you have a Kindle Fire you can buy the audiobook as a narrator to read along at a discount price. I got the audiobook for several of my novels this way including: The Way of Kings, Steelheart, and Mistborn. You can't do this for every novel on Kindle, but it seems this option exists for all of Sanderson's books.

The 46 hours is an estimate...I'd guess at least 48 hours, comparing it to the first book.

They're still recording the book but should be done by the end of January. I've been trading a ton of emails with Kate & Michael this week (mostly Kate) about pronunciation and stuff like that.

I loved Kate's narration on "The Way of Kings." Michael's reading was good too, but Kate's stood out more to me. I'm happy they are doing the narration again on "Words of Radiance." A bad reader can destroy an audiobook. The guy who read for "The Eye of the World" audiobook put me to sleep.

So excited for this!  I loved the Way of King's narration. There was only one minor blip on it for me, and that was Kate and Michael's different pronunciations of "Sadeas".  Threw me off a little, so I hope they've got it standardized.  I'm planning to get the kindle as well, for whispersync but chances are I'll be reading it the first time through, since I won't have the patience even on 1.5x speed.

Hahahahahaha...oh my. Um, the Eye of the World audiobook had the exact same narrators as Way of Kings.

Not the the version I was given. Only a man narrated it and he sounded different, older than Michael. There was no female narrator.

Or maybe Michael improved since then and I became bored and quit before I got to Kate's part. Oh Well, I lost that book on CD, so I can't be sure.

At least I enjoy listening to Michael when he read "The Way of Kings," "Mistborn," and "Alloy of Law." ;)

"Dalinar Kholin, who leads the human armies; his sister Jasnah"

it's minor, and god knows that i'm the last person that could point at other people writing mistakes, but if someone can send them e-MAIL to suggert that they correct the description of the book Jasnah as Dalinar sister are a ted to much =)

PS: *cofcof* Mrs. Eveorjoy admit he got you in this one ;)

This professional Narrator only works with the Kindle Fire. The standard Kindle does not have this option.

"Mrs." actually, though I can admit my mistake.  Michael must have improved since 1996.

I'm so excited. Maybe we will all get lucky and they will accidentally release the audiobook early. It happens quite a bit with audiobooks. Last two ones I got from audible, Scott Lynch's Republic of Thieves and Brian McClellan's Promise of Blood both had this happen. Its a great, devious little surprise.

LOL! totally agree! I usually only buy a text version or an audio version of a book, not both. But I am too darn impatience to wait though the audiobook to get to the end to start with the audiobook, but WoK is my favorite audiobook to relisten, so there is no way I can not get the audiobook as well.

I can totally empathize.  I have the audiobook, Harcover and ebook preordered.  This series to me is the living personification of.

Hmmm...

Just went on to pre-order this beauty and can't in the UK yet... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Still, I plan on reading the book first so hopefully the audio will be available when I am finished (probably around the 10th of March by my usual reading speed).
