What was the most satisfying chapter/part in either WoK or WoR that you absolutely loved? Please tell which chapter/page it is if you know.

Please don't double post.

My favorite part is when Amaram got his comeuppance. Sadeas getting his was secondary, since Amaram was much worse, in terms of actual actions. I can't wait for Kaladin's confrontation with his local highlord. He will probably be under attack by Voidbringers, Kaladin will come in, Syl blazing, and Mr. I-can't-remember-his-name-but-he's-more-petty-than-evil will basically go "Oh... Storms. I'm so dead" and then Kaladin will just walk away, or something.

Refusing to save Roshone for petty reasons is the opposite of what a Windrunner should do, you know.

Honestly, for my favorite moment...

I think it was the Honor Chasm scene, from beggining to end. The despair Kaladin is trapped in, the memories of his father, and how Syl saves him with her innocence...

I choose to disregard your question, and replace it with one of my own!  "What was the most emotional/satisfying part of WoK/WoR?"

When Shallan and Hoid meet for the very first time, at the fair thing when she was a child.  Few things move me to tears.  This scene has a 100% success ratio (not sobbing, not necessarily crying; but definitely tears leaking out of my eyes and running down my face).  Just thinking of it can cause me to choke up.  It strikes incredibly close to home.  (Then again, so much of WoR Shallan does for me.  But I was shocked when I was still tearing up at the second reading.  And the third.  And fourth.  It's not like I forgot anything; hell, there wasn't more than a day in between when I read that scene alone the 3rd and 4th time.  And it was still affecting me just like the first time.)

When Kaladin gets Syl back

“Shouting. Kaladin heard it now, as if it were closer.

He is mine! a feminine voice said. I claim him"

Something about that really resonated with me.

Also the scene where Kaladin and Shallan return and Dalinar asks him "Is it you i have been searching for all along?" Then Kal replies "No, maybe once but noy anymore

All scenes when Kaladin or Shallan learns how to be a Surgebinder. Every new information about the magic systems, about the past, about Radiants, about Heralds, about Cosmere. I really love information :D

Well, I think most emotional part was when Kaladin remembers how Tien died. That scene really got me...

Bad[chull] actually bypassed the filter last I tried (as in, without the space. Separate them and it catches it), but people say it anyway. So yes.

Kaladin giving Rlain a spear. So little, so simple, but so perfect.

Many others as well, though I loved the symbolism of Dalinar giving up his blade in an exact opposite of what Amaram did to Kaladin. Was possibly the only thing to allow Kaladin any faith at all in any Lighteyes

Since FormlessFox claimed the one that came to my mind first, here are some more. Page #s are from the hardback editions.

  • Kaladin saying the 2nd oath, WoK pg. 926
  • Navani writing the glyphs on the ground, WoK pg. 948
  • "Dalinar ran the entire way." WoR pg. 884
  • "Not you, son." WoR pg. 931
  • "Can you teach me?" WoR pg. 966 and also "When you came, the shadows went away." WoR pg. 967

Great topic!

For me, it was contextual as well as just pure satisfaction:

When Szeth woke up after fighting Kaladin. That entire sequence was probably my favorite in the entire book, if only because something kinda-maybe-hopefully-probably-not GOOD finally happened to Szeth.

"Honor is dead, but I'll see what I can do."

Also as IndigoAjah said, excellent scene. "Bridge four doesn't have slaves."

For me it was the end of the Bridge Four sequence in WoK: everything from when Bridge Four decided to give up their freedom to charge the plateau into almost certain death to Dalinar deciding to lead his men in an all but hopeless charge, despite "knowing" that the bridge will have been tossed into the chasm long before they get there, finally culminating in Dalinar reaching the bridgehead and finding the bridge still miraculously there.

Best scene in the books so far, IMHO, and hard to imagine it being topped.

When Shallan and Kaladin finally meet each other.

When Kaladin saves Dalinar.

When Adolin asks Shallan out, two minutes after meeting her.

When Wit tells Kaladin a story for the first time.

That's just a thing for me. I love it when main characters meet.

I really loved finding out

Jasnah was alive at the end of WoR. I was heartbroken when she "died" at the beginning of the book and then literally cheered when we find out she's still alive.

Someone brings you poison while you contemplate suicide and actually successfully persuaded you against it.

Kal and Syl logic.

Yeah I loved that Kal & Syl scene. Especially when Syl mentions that she almost lost herself trying to get the leaves to bring to him. It's so sweet and adorable
