Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 And now, for what I assume is Doctor Who humor: Don't put pictures of Weeping Angels online. Whatever holds the image of an Angel is itself an Angel! *stares at Kindle, afraid to blink* Also, why are so many sanderfans whovians too? Even the ones I know irl are. 1
The Honor Spren she/her Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Also, why are so many sanderfans whovians too? Even the ones I know irl are.Because they both have characters that travel though time and space, have a dark past hidden under their merriment, are way older than they look, and change their appearance a lot? 4

Because we have awesome taste? 3
Young Bard he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 I would definitely read this book. Ivory sounds awesome. Either she actually dies and her death sparks the entire plot or she somehow survives and that sparks the plot. I prefer the first option myself. Or flashbacks to explain a bit more of the predicament. Flashbacks are cool. 3
Stormgate he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Monks aren't. As I say this, I am a Dakhor Monk, though. 1
Silverblade5 he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Or flashbacks to explain a bit more of the predicament. Flashbacks are cool. Accidental downvoted, however, are not.
Young Bard he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Doctor Who and Sanderson Fans: I think it's just because you'll automatically see Sanderfans here, being his fansite. The vast majority of us will have seen it because it is one of the most influential sf/f shows (apart from maybe GoT, but this came a long way first.) Sorry, I know my sentence structure is horrible. I'm busy. I'll get around to fixing it if I can be bothered.

Mistrunner Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 And now, for what I assume is Doctor Who humor: STOP LOOKING HIM IN THE EYES! AAAAAAAAAH!
Silverblade5 he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Speaking of Dr. Who, has anyone ever watched an episode while accidentally turning on the audio descriptions on Netflix? Not a good idea 1
Curious Anamaximder he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 You know that peaceful Christmas moment, when everything is warm and fuzzy, cookies are on the table, the tree is lit, and everyone is getting along. Well that's not happening to me. 1
Zathoth Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Well, here in sweden it is christmas today (it is actually Yule, but everyone pretends it is christmas ) so merry christmas everything. Or whatever winter holidays you happen to celebrate.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 You know that peaceful Christmas moment, when everything is warm and fuzzy, cookies are on the table, the tree is lit, and everyone is getting along. Well that's not happening to me. I have the perfect song for this, but as the language and content places it at a solid PG-13, I'm hesitant to recommend it. Sorry Christmas with family is stressful, Ven. I know that feel.

Young Bard he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 (edited) And Christmas is done for me! My family is European, who (apparently) celebrate on the 24th. Also, I'm Australian, which has one of the earliest time zones in the world. With the combination of those, we must be one of the first people in the world to do the Christmas celebrations. That being said, it turned out fairly well this year. Venture, I feel sorry for you. I know just what sort of thing you're going through. Young Bard, at 12:30 on the morning of the 25th of December, signing out. P.S. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or Io Saturnalia to all of you who don't have a compulsive urge to beat out any festive spirit and strangle it to bloody pulp. ... Merry Christmas. Kobold King he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 This is the game that I bought for my family and I to play on Christmas : https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/155703/evolution I thought some of you *cough cough* Kobold King *cough cough* would be interested, because it is pretty awesome. That looks awesome. Every now and then we play a game called Wildlife, a less sophisticated game by a German gaming company. (Our current copy of it is actually printed in German.) I want to continue developing my world creation card game, but I've run into difficulty figuring out which aspect of creation should take priority. My original conception was more an ecological simulator than anything else. I'm not sure how to make creating creatures, civilizations, magic systems, and cosmic disasters equally challenging and rewarding.

Hmmm.... *sprinkles Holy Water on Allomancy* The Power of Christ compels you! *flees from the spray* Hey, careful with that stuff! You might set me on fire! 1
Kobold King he/him Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 *flees from the spray* Hey, careful with that stuff! You might set me on fire! Nah, your gods seem pretty nice from what I've heard of them. I don't think they're on Jesus' Naughty List. 1

Yes, careful with that stuff, I might set it on fire! Or weirder things, last time someone tried to holy water me it exploded into saber toothed bunnies.
