Zathoth Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Honor Spren you always have the coolest avatars. I blame the following on that I really need to sleep and wake up in one and a half hour but I had the coolest idea: Narwhals, but instead of horns they have rifles growing out of their foreheads! I'll let myself out... 1
Voidus Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 You specified that no explanation was necessary! In either event, the kitten just wants cuddles! Sure but I also said that my cookies won't steal a part of your soul if you eat them. I thought people knew not to trust me.

Kobold King he/him Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Excellent. Early Christmas present, I guess? 2
Kaymyth she/her Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I'm switching my name back a bit early. Why? Because I'm am one, maybe two evenings away from finishing the second draft of Swift as Steel, and it's time to start roping in my beta readers. It's so much less confusing when I'm not an Ookla. I've never been one for the fake cursing, actually.Saying real curses are so much more rewarding. I real-curse often enough that some of the people here would probably be shocked, shocked I say, to hear some of the things that come out of my mouth. Training fake curses into myself, though, helps keep me from accidentally getting in trouble at work. : ( KITTEH! Kobold, I predict that you'll discover the next rep level at 32,768. 2
Mistrunner Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I've always found it interesting how cats can levitate like that. Also, my new profile picture, jumping on the bandwagon for the Christmas-y stuff. This is Aura. Aura is one of my characters. Aura is grumpy. Another character (I'm betting Cela, who is always cheerful and can knit) made her a Christmas sweater and scarf. Aura is unsure of how to react. Voila. 3
ThirdGen Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Doodloo the other toot-toot... Used to have a different name...

I thought people knew not to trust me. I think now's as good a time as any to say that when I scrolled past this at just the right speed, I thought Voidus had promised his cookies wouldn't eat the soul of the ice cream. 3

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Unfortunately I can't make such a promise. I suspected as much. Though I do wonder what would happen if you spiked some ice cream into a cookie. Would the cookie be filled with ice cream? What metal do you even use on ice cream, anyway? 2
Delightful Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Joining the bandwagon! (Sort of) Wait ice cream is a source of investiture now? 1
Elbereth she/her Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I real-curse often enough that some of the people here would probably be shocked, shocked I say, to hear some of the things that come out of my mouth. Training fake curses into myself, though, helps keep me from accidentally getting in trouble at work. You know, I don't actually curse at all except fake curses. I'm vaguely uncomfortable about real curses, actually. Especially in books.Part of this is because my mom is a teacher and my dad is a doctor, so I didn't really get exposed to cursing until I was in 8th grade or so. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Joining the bandwagon! (Sort of) Wait ice cream is a source of investiture now? That Hanukkah avatar makes me feel happy inside. Um, maybe? Or maybe it just gets eaten by Dark Alley cookies? Part of me wants to see a DA cookbook, but part of me really….doesn't. 1

Not experience anything made from it. 2

A very wise distinction, I'd say.

Then I got older and more cynical, and stuff like that stopped bothering me. And even now it depends on context; my language is (usually) more polite around my mother.

And even now it depends on context; my language is (usually) more polite around my mother. I used to get nervous—or at the very least, annoyed—when kids at school would swear around me. Then I took a couple of restaurant jobs. Great Noodly One, those people are creative when it comes to swearing. Even the managers. Especially the managers. Swearing doesn't bother me anymore.

A very wise distinction, I'd say. It's *maybe* not meant to be a menorah but it's only one off so.... unless they're each meant to be a menorah not one together, but then the one on the right should have at least two candles. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edit: what am I talking about? It's not one out. I guess I forgot how to count. .............¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edited December 3, 2015 by Ookla the Fierce 1

For some reason, it never bothers me when there is swearing in the Dresden Files books. Basically nothing else, but with those books I don't even notice. I have no idea why.

Young Bard he/him Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I'm a lot more conscious of swearing then a lot of people at my school. It's not as bad as it used to be, though. I think I'm heading down the path of desensitization now. I'm trying to work out whether or not that's a good thing.
Silverblade5 he/him Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 So, what were you guys' favorite shows growing up? You know, the ones you find yourself going back to every now and again? For me, those would be Bakugan, yu-go-oh, and beyblade. How about you?
