I love platform games, they are also one of the few things that can make me angry.

Speaking of writing. I really need some discipline too. I just improvise something together, make sure it makes some amount of sense and then I call it a day. School really ruined the act of writing for me, I like coming up with stories, I like creating things, but after sitting up past midnight, you have written one page on a subject that couldnt bore you more, your mind cant come up with anything else to say about the subject but you still have two more pages to write.

That becomes a minor trauma after a while.

To those of you who have read Howl's Moving Castle, I can confirm that Howl was 100% not exaggerating when he came down with a cold.

Someone's listening to me!

But really though, this is why I didn't like the whole "it gets to 100 pages and then someone else posts a new one" thing.

Let it run its course, get autolocked, and the system starts the next thread.

Well, Im listening to the you who sounds like me, not much listening when you are saying stuff I agree with...

What Ive heard having infinitely long threads slows down the site, though Im no good at this computer thingy, so dont take my word for it.

It does, so the system used here autolocks and makes a new thread at 100 pages.

Prime example is the "Question" threads, with a number behind them.

Oh, those aren't auto locked. I just lock them and start a new thread when the old one reaches 100 pages because it's easier on the mods. I don't think the threads here auto lock, either.

It rolls over at 101.

Meaning when the first post is made on what would be 101, it starts a new thread instead.

I honestly wish Wolfquest's forums would do that; the general discussion thread used to have over 7000 pages before it started getting an error message and the mods finally closed it and made a new one.

Edit: wait, really?

I saw the sanderson joke (meme?) thread do the same thing at one point.

I was up until 3 AM yesterday.

I'm still trying to decide if I'm completely functional or on the verge of crashing.

Thats not how it works, you are either working on 110% of your usual capacity, or you are about to crash.

Every time I let Bruce and Mollie onto my bed at the same time, they fight.

On the downside, this often impacts how much work I can do, as my time is cut short through having to keep them away from my laptop.

On the upside, I've discovered several new features when Bruce has stepped on my keyboard.

That's why it's so weird. I feel fine, except I also feel like I'm about to die.

Sleep deprivation alright. As long as you can get some rest when the weird sleep deprivation rush ends you will be fine, maybe.

You dont start seeing things man was not meant to know until about day 3.

Anyway, I shall either stay up all night and read The Name Of The Wind or go to sleep now. I work tomorrow. Im not sure how evil Mr Rothuss is feeling at the moment.

How comforting.

I'll try to sleep tonight. We'll see how well that'll work out.

You'll die the moment you find a bed. I know from insomniac experience.

I thought putting colors on stuff was the fun bit.

Of course people generally disagree, but they look a lot better with green mustaches, it is not my fault they have no sense of fashion...

Good I'm not the only one on that front.

True, true. I was mostly thinking about how I would behave if it was a novel. Cutting out stuff that went nowhere, streamlining the diferrent viewpoints, stuff like that. Although to be fair, we have shown to be masters of hindshadowing, aka taking what we have already writting and magically make it fit together perfectly with stuff it wasn't intended to be connected with.

Would you be suprised if I told you they are all good? :P

Not at all.  I actually have Elantris and The Way of Kings bought and sitting on my bookshelf, just waiting.
