Guest Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I leave for one day and look what happens! Okay. To summarize:... Morzathoth, piano isn't boring (begin obligatory pianist's rant) ... ... ... AGREED And also, I love dancing. East Coast Swing dance is my favorite, but I know some tango, salsa, waltz, foxtrot, and Charleston, as well as some line dances like the Virginia Reel (which is the one you dance with Cotton Eye Joe playing).

Swing dancing is so much fun. I can do most basic ballroom dances, though. 1

The Honor Spren she/her Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I know the sprinkler. Yeah, I know I need to work on my dancing skills . . . 1
Kaymyth she/her Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I have a husband who cannot dance. It is tres sad. Dancing's pretty fun, though I don't know much. Waltz is definitely my favorite. YOU GOT THE 1337 REP!
Kestrel she/her Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I have met a total of two guys my age who can dance. I am sad.
The Honor Spren she/her Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) YOU GOT THE 1337 REP!I am in awe of Slowswift's rep! Edit: I took a screenshot to document this momentous occasion. *looks at own rep* Wait a minute! I have passed that rep already . . . I missed seeing my 1337 rep! WHAT IS THIS?! [/edit] *excitedly jumps up and down* Fall weather is here! Fall weather is finally here! Best season of the year! The high is 77! Humidity has dropped! Winds are picking up speed, and the skies are getting bluer by the minute! Fall weather! (Though, of course our maple tree is only beginning to turn red. It never goes fully crimson till December.) TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 *looks outside at 90 degree weather* Yeah. Fall.
Mistrunner Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 My body still thinks I'm in Washington, meaning I've been feeling like it should've been raining for two straight months by now. The highs have been in the eighties lately. Send me Washington rain, o weather demons! Rain hard enough to splash off rooftops and soak socks within thirty seconds of going outside! 1
+Slowswift Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Honestly, one of the only reasons I look forward to Spring is that I can play Winter Wrap Up at top volume. 1
The Honor Spren she/her Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) You get a red tree?! We're lucky to get yellow. Oh, Utah. It's the only color changing tree on the street. Everything else is slash pines, live oaks, and palms. They stay green year round. Edit: and I'm making a conscious effort not to upvote you, in order to preserve your wonderful rep. So . . . Sorry for not doing that I guess? Edited October 19, 2015 by The Honor Spren
+Slowswift Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 It's the only color changing tree on the street. Everything else is slash pines, live oaks, and palms. They stay green year round. Florida?
The Honor Spren she/her Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Florida? Oh, yes. We're actually lucky for it to get like this yet. There have been years where we go to the beach in February, and are not cold at all.

The Honor Spren she/her Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry.I'm a wimp when it comes to cold anyway. I went to Utah in November (or sometime in autumn)and was completely bundled in jackets, while I watched a guy run past us in shorts and T-shirt.And now you've been upvoted, so I can upvote you again! Ahh the ninjas! Replying to Mist: Beaches here: White sand they ain't, but light brown sand is fun too! Edited October 19, 2015 by The Honor Spren

My mom was telling me about how when she lived in Minnesota, she visited Utah once and overheard some Californians complaining about how cold it was and thought "You think this is cold? You ain't seen nothin' yet." 1

You ain't seen nothin' yet." *laughs hysterically at the idea that people can even withstand such temperatures*After that aforementioned visit to Utah, my younger brothers thought that the coldest place on earth, after the poles, was Utah. Not exaggerating.
Mistrunner Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I like Washington and California beaches- they're just different types of pretty. Washington beaches (on the Sound, at least) are stretches of pebbles and gray water and clouds and trees and branches and if you're lucky a seal or orca. California beaches- vary. It's a big state. But the ones I was near had sand and dunes which are pretty awesome, I might say- and usually clouds and blue surf and the occasional otter. Oklahoma beaches are nothin. There's actually a sign on a hotel that says "Beautiful ocean views!!!* *just kidding". Californians get pretty wimpy when it comes to cold, I must say. Though I can't be an impartial judge. I'm weirdly cold-resistant. 2
