Wow, this was a close one, I think the Championship Round received more votes than any other round, and Vin only won by two votes! It was a very, very close match, but in the end, Vin, The Ascendant Warrior, came forth triumphant. And that concludes The Great Sanderson Tournament. Seriously, I had a ton of fun doing this, and I hope that you all did as well. Previously in the tournament, some of y'all expressed interest in doing a team tournament. Are you guys still interested in that? And if we were to do that, any suggestions for improvements to make it a bit more interesting? I'd be totally willing to do this, but I would probably wait a bit before starting it. Anyway, thank you so much for participating in this, all of you! This would have been nowhere near as fun as it was without your participation. So what do you guys think of the results? Happy? Upset? Should we do a team tournament, and any improvements I could make? Let me know! Hope you enjoyed this! 6

I didn't think Adolin and Wayne would die before Vasher, though. I never liked him as much as the aforementioned. Next tournament should include more Non-Cosmere characters. And a 17th shard tournament would be great, as long as I am in it.

I actually would like something more like this: post who you want to win the tournament. It doesn't have to be a popularity contest: Vin isn't my favorite character yet I voted for her since I think she deserves the credit as the main protagonist of Brandon's biggest series. So even if you likes Kobold King better, you should still vote for me.

Elbereth she/her Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I think we would have a competition like last time (with differenct characters), but for every contest there would be a third option for a teamup. That's how I visualize it. It'd also be interesting to have a Shard contest. (Endowment, Leras!Preservation, Vin!Preservation, Ruin, Harmony, Honor, Cultivation, Odium, Survival, and Autonomy, and maybe Kelsier? That's a lot.)

Patar he/him Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 Alright, sorry for the wait guys. I like the idea of a 17th Sharder tournament and a team tournament. My only concern with the team tournament is that we would probably be reusing several characters, but I suppose since we would be throwing in new elements it would be changing things up. So what do you guys want to do? If we were to do a sharder tournament, how would we determine who wins? If we did a team tournament, would people be in teams from the beginning, or could they team up along the way? I suppose we could do both, but since they would be in different threads I feel as if we would be clogging the General Brandon Discussion up with all kinds of tournaments. Suggestions? And if anybody else would want to host these, since they weren't my idea, just let me know! 1

I feel like people would get too invested in it. Yeah, I kind of agree. So team tournament it is! So some clarification: Do we have people in teams from the start, or have a similar setup as last time, but instead of voting for only one contestant, their would be a third option for a team up. I also had an idea that kinda combines the Sharder and Team Tournaments. It is probably a flawed idea, and I haven't really stopped to think about it, but oh well. Instead of a bunch of people nominating characters, what if every Sharder "drafted" two Sanderson characters, and that was their team. This of course does have a major issue. If we didn't want any repeat characters, meaning that once a character was placed on someone's team, no one else could use them. That would mean that those who posted earlier would have a HUGE advantage over those who picked late. They could pick two extremely powerful characters, giving the others the short stick. But still, I suppose it is an idea worth considering. What do y'all think? 1
