Sell. Toilet paper as an industry has already existed for several hundred years on our world, so I would assume it already exists on Scadrial.

[outofgame]Btw, I think it is a lot more fun when we explain why we buy or sell something.[/outofgame]

Wayne will get a girlfriend in the Shadows of Self.

Posted

Sell. Wayne is to focused on Renette, and we know that isn't going to work.

Toilet paper as an industry actually only started in the middle of the eighteenth century if I remember correctly, and it was a very hush hush thing. There were similar things in China closer to the 14th century, but not really like we know it today. AoL is just about that same time period, so that's why I figure it'll crop up. And Brandon loves being realistic.

Sorry I got really rambling there........

The wedding won't actually happen in Shadows of Self. Wax will get kidnapped or something instead.

Sell.

The Wedding will go without a hitch, but immediately after is when all calamity breaks loose.

I'd like to buy this, given the implications, but unfortunately, I don't think it's going to be the case. Cosmere doesn't have all that many shout-outs.

At some point in the SA, we're going to see Hoid's goals clash big-time with Dalinar's (the KR's.)

Buy all the way.

The KR will make a choice that stops the Everstorm but frees Odium on the Cosmere. They'll celebrate, thinking they've one. Then, cut to Hoid. He stares at the stars, wondering how long before they start going out.

Posted

Sell, because he already kind of did with the Well of Ascension.

Mistborn will be made into a film series, but not by the company currently holding the rights.

Posted

Buy. I thought the rights expired so nobody really owns them right now.

If Hoid met Jar Jar he would kill him.

Posted

Sell. He'd mock him endlessly, then adopt him as a boon companion just to annoy the crap out of everybody he meets.

Hoid is extremely religious. He worships the God Beyond.

Posted

Sell. Why would he be able to use Yolsih lightweaving if he was the god Beyond.

Rashone killed envisigers.

Posted

Sell. I doubt backstories will crossover any more than they already have.

Underneath the surface of Roshar is a series of very large caverns with very interesting things in them.

Posted

Er, sell. I'm sure there's cool stuff under the purelake, but I don't think that there's caves all over the place.

The Lopen and his cousins will save a lot of Bridge 4 at some point in the next book.

Posted

Buy.

In fact, Lopen and possibly his cousins will play a major role in saving all of Roshar at some point in the Stormlight Archive.

Totally buy.

Hoid will turn out to be one of Lopen's cousins.

Posted

Sell, much as I'd like to believe it. He might be a more distant relative though.

At some point, the Lopen will speak directly to a Shard and call him or her "gancho".

Posted

Buy. I would especially love it if he was speaking to Harmony.

The Amians are going to be pretty important.

The Amians are going to be pretty important.

Buy. Anyone with that level of stigma against them for magic reasons is going to be important.

Hoid will become a Willshaper for the Stormlight.

Sell.

(EDIT: He'll probably find a way to take all ten orders, using either Hemallurgy, Honorblades, or pure Hoid-ness.)

At some point, the Lopen will speak directly to a Shard and call him or her "gancho".

I can definitely see this happening:

Lopen: “How are you doing, gancho?  How’s the family?  You guys should come down here after the next highstorm.  If there’s one thing I have to tell you, gancho, it’s that my cousin makes a mean cremling stew.  Have I mentioned him before, gancho?  His name’s Rizel.  And I should know, since we Herdazians never forget a family member.  It’s like we’re all positively glowing with hospitality.  Or at least the Lopen is.  Mind if I stick you to a wall, gancho?”

Odium: “…”

The Shard that Lopen is speaking to will commit Shardicide.

Buy. Unless Ghibbletish is a color.

Hehe, so I just thought " Did you know Rosebud was a sled?" except that it was Ghibbletish.

Hoid will be in the epilogue for next three books of the SA.

Posted

Buy. Because it already was, in the preview chapters, and will likely stay that way unless Brandon changes the world's linguistics.

Sell.

Why not? I mean, he's going around collecting magic systems, and he seems to match the Willshaper description.

The Liar of Partinel will not be Hoid/Wit/whatever his name is.
