Kobold King he/him Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Can we arrange for this to happen? Vanilla Sabotage gets together to hash out a plan. They challenge Nighthound to a game of Scrabble--if he refuses, then offer to give him Sam as a reward for victory. (She'll never be in any danger, but they'll need some form of incentive.) From the bushes, have Funtimes change the tiles just before he pulls them out of the bag. Give him all the necessary tiles to play the word "consensual," and have Nathan set him up the perfect opportunity on the board to play it. Nighthound will have no choice but to play it, and in so doing, be instantly annihilated. Challenge Deathwish and Shiny Sparkle, and repeat. 5
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Were this anyone but Nighthound, I'd call that a step in the right direction. Since this is Nighthound, it's probably because Neverthere is cute. An appreciated bonus in his case but not actually a factor for him. As far as he sees it there are woman and people that also happen to be women, someone like C4 is the former and the latter is currently mostly lucentia and Bloody Mary. Given how things go he might actually appreciate the banter with Neverthere though. Most of the named victims of Nighthound's violence were chosen because they were cute. If Nighthound were to touch the word "consensual" in a dictionary, he and the book would vaporize in a flash of energy. Yay, flashy! To be fair, he did try to strike a... friendly conversation with Backtrack, assuming he was keeping the twins. Oh and with Nathan... mostly to troll him though.

Kobold King he/him Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Currently contemplating whether I should be the one to add all of our MemeticMolesters to the TV Tropes page.

Blackhoof Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Iconoclast post. Serious sparks going down- good luck clearing out several scores of ghouls from the fields On another note, Comatose, I just wanted to remind you that Gunsmoke covered a city block in black smoke and is shooting a bunch of random servants, but no-one has noticed the poor fellow yet Since Tyson is leaving, I think we should pretty soon plan a confrontation with Gunsmoke that will end in his death, or his being driven away. Maybe Rainmaker can blow him away? He is just smoke after all

Maybe Rainmaker can blow him away? He is just smoke after all I guess he didn't like the speech. Then again, that's what you get for only standing on a podium and not actually saying anything. (I know that isn't what happened but an interesting thought none the least. ) I supposse blowing him away does leave the option for Tyson to return. And to settle that Nighthound and conversation topic from yesterday: Edited August 22, 2015 by Edgedancer 1
Blackhoof Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 The whole blowing-away thing is also hilariously insulting for Gunsmoke XD "I challenge you, Rainmaker! Fight me!" "Hmmm.... no" *wind wind wind* "I'm being bown away! This is HUMILIATING, you can't do thiiiiiiiisssssss......." 1

Mestiv he/him Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 (edited) Hey Blackhoof, what happens if Iconoclast is disturbed before he finishes turning someone into a ghoul? Does his victim returns to normal or is left with broken yet non-aggressive mind? So, Iconoclast is now having fun on the fields that I hope are placed somewhere near the road that Argon is using. Now I wonder if I should wait for Buttercup to reach 2PM or just write away Argon's ghoul fight. The missing Gunsmoke confrontation makes me unsure about the timeline now, and in what point in time everyone is. I'm starting to regreat I went so far into the future Edited August 22, 2015 by Mestiv

The missing Gunsmoke confrontation makes me unsure about the timeline now, and in what point in time everyone is. I'm starting to regreat I went so far into the future You know, I've sort of noted that as a question in the past but never considered it. I'd say whatever damage has been done remains, and he can resume from there at any future time. The damage is as follows: 1 second: the victim is calm and confused for a bit, but recovers within a minute 2 seconds: the victim is calm and confused, but recovers within 30 minutes, and older memories become a bit faded 3 seconds: the victim loses childhood memories 4 seconds: the victim loses all memory beyond a year ago, and is deeply confused for months 5 seconds: the process is complete Its a bit of an issue for you definitely You could always run into ghouls later on? this won't be the last time there are ghouls running rampant in fields. And this particular incident could take some time to resolve, since they are in hiding. And ghouls are cunning- they will use ambush and stalking tactics in terrain like this. Although if Cornucopia gets involved they might die quickly, i dunno. Edited August 22, 2015 by Blackhoof 2
Mestiv he/him Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I think I'll wait with posting till I know what time it is now in Iconoclast and Buttercup timeline.
Blackhoof Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Yeah, that's what i would suggest. I think its about 9am or so, so you have a few hours to go.
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 And here is that Neverthere Obliteration comic Voidus asked for. I also took the iberty of adding glasses to Neverthere. I will leave it to someone else to fill in the time between panel 3 and 4. 4
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 It's quiet, too quiet. Hopefully, the two short dialouges segments in Astoria help. Voidus and Winter, in case one of your characters do have any question, just ask me and I'll tell you the answer, I doubt it would be worth another seperate post.

Edgedancer he/him Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Now to find the sort of music that would best suit the Financier's sensibilities. (Well, second to silence, that is. ) From Zero to Hero?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 From Zero to Hero? But that implies Zero is an unwanted value—something to escape from! Not a glorious paradigm to reach!
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 But that implies Zero is an unwanted value—something to escape from! Not a glorious paradigm to reach! Well, that's a though customer then. By the way, is the church Tylor has taken position in the same one that Autumn and Reader usually work in?
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 So Kobold, a question of curiosity, how would a meeting between the two fanatics, Lightwards and the Panda go?
Kobold King he/him Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 So Kobold, a question of curiosity, how would a meeting between the two fanatics, Lightwards and the Panda go? Serious Answer: Their goals are mutually exclusive. Lightwards wants to remove his limit and unite the planet under his own mind--the Panda is more of an idealist, wanting to let all his pandas frolic and play together in a glorious utopia. The Panda would see Lightwards as narrow-minded, arrogant, and a threat to his beloved bears. Lightwards would see the Panda as a ridiculous primitive who threatens the forward march of progress. With that said, they might be able to work together in the short term if Lightwards allowed the Panda a large enough territory, sending all the humans he can catch to him for pandafication. Eventually the Panda would wish to expand, but for the short term he'd be willing to collaborate in order to maximize the humans he acquires for pandafication, and Lightwards would value his powerset for his ability to combat other Epics. Joke Answer: Zombie pandas. 3

So the comic I was too lazy to make, where Lightwards and the Panda glare while shouting their goals at each other until Obliteration destroys them both, wasn't too far off the mark? 2
