TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 *Searches up Aldomania* *Finds a newspaper comic featuring pre-Calamity Aldo.* His weakness must be pictures of his pre-Calamity self, because dang. Either that, or Mary Worth, because dang.
Quiver he/him Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I can see where you are coming from, do you want a summary of why these things matter? A summary would be helpful, if that's okay. I'd still rather read the thread itself, but an overview so I can follow the meta arc more easily would be nice Also, Aldo, wut?

(exclamation point part of the spelling ) is a character in Portland. I follow The Comics Curmudgeon, and one strip he mocks frequently is Mary Worth. Back in 2006, there was a storyline following Mary's attempts to get rid of her romantic stalker, Aldo Kelrast (pictured in the strip Mckeedee posted). There was an ad today, which I took a screenshot of, where the woman is wearing an Aldomania T-shirt, and that reminded me of Aldo from the Portland thread, so….yeah.

Why Backtrack is in the Dalles: He works for Lightwards (the green) who wants to get a means to control another Epic named Funtimes, who has a party member named Remington, who is from the Dalles, so Lightwards send Backtrack to the Dalles to find blackmail material or something like that, Why Koschei and Remington are important to the Dalles Koschei is a High Epic that tried to enslave the Dalles and almost succeded but Remington killed him. 1
Buffy0012 she/her Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Welcome back, three question I'd have for you upfront would be 1) Over how far a range does her singing carry, 2) How does it affect Epics and about what scale are we talking about with her healing? I would say for her singing it goes about 10 blocks worth at max, but she generally just infuses certain people with it at close range. She can't do a gosh-darned thing to High Epics, but to lesser Epics it depends on their willpower. Once she is Inside of an Epic's mind though she has to focus much harder to maintain her hold on them than on the multiple vanillas she is controlling. She can only control up to about 40-45 vanillas at a time and only 2-3 Epics. She can heal herself but has to release the hold on all who she is controlling and focus only on the wound, which leaves her at the mercy of her scales to protect her from knives and bullets. Sorry it took so long for me to respond...

Comatose he/him Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Since I'm currently addicted to this song for some reason, I thought I would ask if the metal ever plays it for everyone's favourite blood manipulator (sorry Red).

Sorry it took so long for me to respond... Well, most of the Epics in Astoria are High Epics, so that part of her powers are unlikely to come up, unless we introduce some NPCs. (Although, it is a bit of an arbitrary limit anyway, given that High Epicness isn't really connected to the actual power level.) Talking about the power level there, it may be best to cut out the part of needing to stop her other power for it to work. Lady Gaga... that isn't exactly the image I was going for. I'll just leave it here. Behold our PUGEON Overlord, the supreme lifeform! 1

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 I am so not qualified for this job, and pretending like I am in my cover letter makes me feel like Metronome. "I shall excel at this job….with my AWESOME EXPERIENCE AS A SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER!" 2

Not for this one. They want three years of planning and presenting programs. I have maybe one, if you squint at my time working as a high school library assistant and tilt your head a little.

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 Oh. You are still awesome and capable. Thanks. I know I'm not getting this job, though. But my dad won't hear it. "My job wanted ten years of experience in a call center, and I had zero. I still got the job." Yes, but you also had at least ten years' experience as a manager, even if it wasn't in a call center, and this was an internal posting for a city you'd managed. They knew you. Me? I'm a complete stranger, writing a cover letter talking about my awesome Sunday School teaching experience and practically begging for a rejection letter. 1

Edgedancer he/him Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 By the way Voidus, feel free to completely ignor this if you have already started writing or decided not to do a Neverthere post for now but do you want to test the waters a bit what impression her second introduction would leave on Lucentia? (Not that she will get her to like her. )

Even better, get Metronome to come and tell them something about how you have precisely 4 years, 11 months, 2 weeks, 1 day, 18 hours, 5 minutes and 32 seconds of job experience. They'll have to believe him.

They'll have to believe him. I can see that working. Of course, since this is pre-Calamity, I'd need some way to get Metronome back in time, which means an Epic who can time-travel. But the only one I can think of is….Timeport….and to get around his limited range, I'd need to make him significantly more powerful….oh dear….

That kind of fits his theme, if you stretch it.
+Slowswift Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I thought it was a peagle, to be perfectly honest.
