Vampires and guns have always had a very odd relationship.

So they alluded to interesting issues, but never mentioned them again? I hate when they do that.

More like alluding to conflicts that would reap interesting storytelling possibilities. Just as bad, really.

Haven't seen Priest, but I have recently started the Merlin series. I'm on episode 4. It's pretty decent so far. It's something to watch when you're bored, if nothing else.

I saw Voyage of the Dawn Treader yesterday. It was different, but it was in kinda the same way that they changed up the order of things in the LotR movies, structuring it to have more of a climax. Not nearly as intrusive as in Prince Caspian. They kept in one of the most obviously symbolic lines, which I wasn't expecting, but I'm glad they did. I'm just hoping that they do the rest of the series.

Also, I have Rent (a filmed Broadway production) and Scott Pilgrim coming up on the Netflix queue. Looking forward to those.

I saw How to Train Your Dragon yesterday and I really enjoyed it. I was expecting more of a traditional fantasy story where boy finds dragon egg and raises dragon, but the movie surprised me in a good way. I also liked the romance thing. I'm such a sucker for romance.

Recently finished watching Buffy and Angel, and a part of me died at the cancellation of Stargate Universe, which finished recently. It was like Firefly all over again... and have decided to move onto Lost and Chevalier d'Eon.

Also, How To Train Your Dragon is pretty much wonderful, and also an excellent date movie.

Merlin is so awesome, Endra. The first season's good, the second season's great, and the third season kicks butt! If you're liking it now, I can just say that it gets even better! Yay!

Arthur: I've been trained to kill since birth.

Merlin: How long have you been training to be a prat?

Arthur: You know, you really can't talk to me like that.

Merlin: Oh, sorry. How long have you been training to be a prat, my lord?

Love it.

Okay, confession time.

I'd heard a lot about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and I decided to check it out. Result: Surprisingly good. I later found out it's directed by Lauren Faust, who did Powerpuff Girls, and this show's actually better (in my opinion). Yes, it's a kids show, so don't expect a Brandon-avalanche at the end of the season, but the characters are what really sell it. At first they seem like stereotypes, but really they're way deeper and complex than I would expect a show of this level to be. They're characters I seriously care about and I laughed out loud on numerous occasions. If you're on the fence about it, I'd say give it a shot, it's far better than you'd expect.

Haha. Classic. Glad it only gets better. I'm on season 2 now but 3 isn't on Netflix yet so I'm trying to pace myself, lol.

I downloaded season 3 through torrents, (shh) because the DVDs aren't supposed to come to the US for months, and I'm impatient. You might be able to find them on youtube, but it's doubtful.

I love Rent Filmed Live on Broadway! Well, I just love Rent in general. Seen it live, filmed live, and movie. Always loved it. Actually, when I saw it live, it had Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal. Was AWESOME.

The music was great, loved how it was almost an opera with all of the songs going on. But I just didn't find myself liking the characters. I just wanted to tell them, "Well, it's kinda YOUR FAULT that you have AIDS." And I know it's not PC for me to say this, but the homosexuality going on (especially Angel) was really squicky to me. Also, language.

This is going in the same mental folder as Watchmen, see/read once because people really like it, then leave alone.

Not that it's bad, just that it didn't really mesh with my opinion on things. The things that worked for me worked really well, but the things that threw me off really threw me off.

I might have just downloaded a video converter to put videos on my iPod. This does not mean I'll download Merlin torrents. Cause that's bad. .....But I will. :D So you probably shouldn't PM me a good link.

I saw the movie adaptation. It was decent, but I expected more. The original Broadway soundtrack, however, is fantastic.

I'm currently Netflix-ing my way through Bleak House and Eureka, and am thoroughly enjoying both. Also, The Green Hornet is a very enjoyable movie. Definitely a superhero movie for grown-ups, though; that movie isn't one I would show to the kids.

I just watched the first season of Dollhouse. Freaking amazing. Joss Whedon is the greatest. And yet it got canceled. Freaking Fox. Gonna punch them...

Dollhouse is amazing, but be warned, asking just the wrong question about how things work can collapse the immersion for you.

I've come to the conclusion because of this, and other things in Joss's other shows, that Joss Whedon is a great writer, but he can't keep a phlebotinum consistent to save his life. And his team coined the term!

Currently watching my way through the series Dead Like Me. I'm on the fifth episode of season two. The show has a really dry, dark, deadpan kind of humor to it. I really love the show. I'm sad it only had two seasons.

I made sure I didn't sent sent you a message Endra. Season three is awesome!

I second that the Green Hornet is good. The fight scenes are over the top, but the dialogue is just fantastic! I loved it.

A friend introduced me to the Chronicles of Riddick recently. I saw the first one, Pitch Black, but haven't gotten around to watching the next. It's not bad either.

Also, SERIOUSLY? No one even mentioned the fact that I brought up My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? Really? I know some of you have seen this show!! There are bronies out there, I know it! (Grr. I wish I was a guy fan of this show. Fan girls are "fillies" and guy fans are "bronies." Brony just sounds so much cooler.)

I watched Scott Pilgrim a couple of days ago, and it was pretty dang awesome. All the little video game references like the intro music to Zelda: A Link to the Past at the beginning made me smile. And I kept bursting out laughing at different things. Way fun. The ending was kind of weird though.

I've seen how much people like the My Little Pony show and it's FREAKING ME OUT. I'm a little scared.
