Winds Alight she/her Posted February 17, 2019 Posted February 17, 2019 I'm having a postrock episode again. Currently I'm listening to Autism's "Have You Found Peace?" album. Current song is "Tremorous Luminance"

I'm following several postrock channels on YT (like "wherepostrockdwells"). Through them I discovered a lot of awesome bands in the past years. ^^
Guest Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Finally that new Moth Gatherer record is out. Turned out really good, which I think is hard considering how crowded the post-metal space is nowadays.

Vogelsang he/him Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 (edited) Honestly, the Heathers: The Musical soundtrack. Meant to Be Yours is amazing! Edited March 24, 2019 by Taradiddle
Ghanderflaffle she/her Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 The Underdog, Aaron Watson. It's good, but a warning to any strange people who don't like it, it's country.
Zurvanight he/him Posted April 21, 2019 Posted April 21, 2019 "In darkness blooms the Spider Lily..."

Sadly, I can't say I've listened to much of the Avett Brothers. Ohhhhh, they're literally my favorite band EVER. I highly, highly recommend them, 20/10 stars. Some of their highlights (at least in my opinion) are *inhales* True Sadness, If it's the Beaches, Morning Song, Life, Down with the Shine, I Never Knew You, Trouble Letting Go, Laundry Room, literally EVERYTHING in the "I And Love And You" album, Die Die Die, Paranoia in B Major, Will You Return, The D Bag Rag, At the Beach, and pretty much everything else But yeah, I love the Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, and Of Monsters and Men, all of them have incredible music with (for the most part) really good lyrics, something that I find very hard to find in most modern music

Wander89 he/him Posted May 4, 2019 Posted May 4, 2019 The Early November, The Dangerous Summer, Say Anything, The Starting Line, You Me & Everyone We Know. On a pop/punk/rock kick recently. Any suggestions for newer bands like those would be great!

I actually find most metal genres to have some quite good lyrics, though YMMV On the actual thread topic (and also an example of good lyrics): Edited May 4, 2019 by SLNC
Guest Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Thirteen years. Thirteen. Can't wait for the studio version.
