mycoltbug Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 I think I finally broke the wall on the missing piece to my plot and outline for my book Ashes of Creation. Now, I need to redo alot of my outline to re-incorporate the new plot fixes. Argh! But at least it will make it flow better, plus kinda needed to redo the outline to include a chapter by chapter breakdown.

You are interpreting it far too broadly. You are not being paid to write. You have been awarded an annual stipend to execute on a proposed research/creative project that is supposed to be scholarly. I'm not knocking that you're doing it. I'm only pointing out that your description of it is disingenuous. When you say you're being "paid to write", you are unintentionally misleading people into thinking you are writing something that has been purchased and will be published, which is not the case.

What is Alan Wake? allen wake is a suvival horror video game. i never played it but the premise seemed interesting. Alan Wake is AMAZING. I usually hate scary games but I loved this one. Basically your an author visiting some small town in I think Washington state. on your first night there your wife goes missing and you wake up one week later and start finding manuscript pages of a horror story that you cant remember writing after a while the story you wrote starts to become a reality and yo have to figure out how to stop it.

They're made by the same group, and, Graphically, they're both kinda dated, despite being newish (amnesia came out a few months ago, penumbra maybe 2 years ago). None of this "action-shooter-horror" stuff, you're a weak, puny human against forces beyond your comprehension that will tear you to shreds if they so much as fart at you.

I just watched the trailer for Amnesia and... just no. It reminds me of Theresia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theresia), which I currently am putting off finishing since I need to work up the courage to willingly lock myself in a gas chamber to continue.
