The list of active/popular sharders has changed several times since its inception here. There were a bunch of people who no longer visit here who used to be quite popular years ago, like Sweetness or Emeralis. By my count, i've seen some pretty big shift in the "known/popular" sharders at least 3 or 4 times since this site started. Most of the Admins usually remain relatively popular, even though many of them come and go every so often (except chaos who's pretty much always around).

There's also a number of people from TWG who migrated over here when it started who've pretty much phased out of existence these days. Back when this place started it was almost exclusively TWG folks (which is where this site started at)

/ancient-sharder-talk (i'm member number 36!)

Member number 36 you say? :P I'm quite partial to my member number.

This topic, and your post Eero, makes me very much reminisce things. I used to have the highest post count, but I have been less active over the past two years. Grad school and all that. But that's okay; I have always found it healthy that staff does not have the highest post count on the board. The community keeps things alive, not staff, really. (And of course the RP boards have helped engagement a great deal, which have also led to some people's very high post count.)

Thanks for me being on your lists, guys. I'll be here for a very long time, don't worry. I'm basically eternal :P

"Being the person to set up the forums" is kinda cheating, in my opinion, when it comes to comparing member numbers.... :P

But yeah, i've always found the fact that the community keeps itself going to be something super awesome, if it hinges on the mods/admins to keep things alive, then the site might as well be dead....

Well I'm in the social guilds and Roleplays most of the time these days so I'd have to put Edgedancer, Kobold, Twi, Winter and Elsa at the tops of my list with some honorable mentions to some members of the DA like Fatebreaker and 18th shard.
I haven't been theorising as much lately although it tends to get a boost whenever anything new comes out so my list for the rest of the forums is probably a bit dated:
Windy and Zas are some of the first to spring to mind, along with Kurk of course and Chaos.

My ego is so badly bruised, I might just skip to the end of this lurk cycle and post more again.

I still think of Kurk, Voidus and the like when I think of the Shard. Guess I'm a little mid-old school like that.

Well you're the observer not the observed :P
Honestly I don't know how I forgot you, you're everywhere.
Well I'll belatedly add Observer to my list.
