aeromancer he/him Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I use to overuse Wheel of Time when I spent a year reading that series, but mostly I currently use "Zod" as a curse. And "drajl" when i get really worked up (mostly dealing with Delta Airlines)
Botanica she/her Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Sometimes I use Stormfather! but then realize the curse word is too long…
gjustice99 she/her Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 If you don't say it out loud, you might never know if that pretty lady is a fellow Sanderfan. This is true because if someone used a Cosmere or Reckoners curse to complement me I would immediately consider going out with them (if they are my age range) because I already that one of my favorite things is something we have in common
Kestrel she/her Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I do, but only around friends who've read the books. Otherwise I just use normal curses because they're way more satisfying.
sanderfan she/her Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I use storms all of the time. Also "blood and bloody ashes" from WoT, though not as often, and only when things are really bad. 1
Iarwainiel I she/her Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 For me, it changes with whatever series I'm reading at the time. If it's SA, I find myself saying "storms/storming" a lot and calling people "cremling." If I'm reading Brett's demon cycle, I'll catch myself thinking "to the core with that." McClellan's powdermage books have me saying "pit, no" or some such. Funny, but I don't remember tLotR affecting my vocabulary like this... ;-)
Lord Pifferdoo he/him Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I told a freshman today to go to the pit. The look on their face was priceless
Dunkum he/him Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Never use Rosharian curses, but for some time I would drop the WoT "Blood and bloody ashes." less so now, though i still do occasionally use "bloody" as an amplifier. These days when I want to swear, i mostly string together 3 or 4 english swear words into whatever combination comes to mind
Elsecaller3414 she/her Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 That storming book has gotten me cursing like an Alethi for at least the last few months! Although, it does get a little repetitive after a while, what with storms, storming, stormfather... I might need to find a little more variety. 2
Okdes he/him Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Once, I said "Blood and Bloody ashes, you sparking cremling!" And someone behind me went "HELL YES!" But yeah, I use all Cosmere and WOT curses regularly. Especially WOT. 2
