Mestiv, do you know about Les Friction? They made one album, look for it on youtube. I think you're gonna like them.

I was more looking into fire-breathing-dragon-and-disco insurance. :P

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure New Orleans is in the Coven's territory. Shouldn't have to worry about Oregon-level Epic madness. :P

Firstly, I figured out how to purl!

And secondly, the Kaymyth sticky notes method has not steered me wrong. I feel like the story is starting to come together. I have a handful of scenes that I'm working toward, and that's what's always helped me keep writing in the past.

Ooh, speaking of, I think I might give this method a try. Sounds like it could really help, especially with Camp NaNoWriMo looming.

I think one of its biggest advantages comes from my own frugal streak. When I start writing notes about a character, I feel this compulsion to not waste any space on the sticky note, so I'll sit and think about more details to fill the note with. So it compels me to flesh out my characters, world, and plot more.

Hmm. Good. I suck at characters. :P

Can someone link me back to it or remind me what it's about? I want to try it.

I...just use color-coded sticky notes to organize my plotlines.  It's not rocket science.

After a week of not eating anything made of grains except matzah (for Pesach/Passover).....I have cookies in the oven. :D

My family still hasn't had a chance to go grocery shopping after Passover and we only have the bare essentials at our house. It's very annoying. There's nothing to snack on!

Snacks *are* essentials! :P

And if you have leftover Pesach chocolate that's not too bad....if essentials include flour, sugar and oil of some description you could make something yummy. If not, just eat all the vegetables till your parents get worried and start buying proper snacks. That'll work, right?

EDIT: This is my 4500 post :o

Just finished the first of 3 lab reports. And my Arabic portfolio is done! Just two more lab reports and a take-home final left.

I recently ordered a watercolor of Remus Lupin to go with the Marauder's Map shower curtain I bought. When it shipped, the artist sent me an email through Etsy, telling me she'd added "a small surprise" to my order. Well, it arrived today.

And so did these.

For the last hour the Internet in my job was down, so I'm 100% legally doing nothing and I'll still get paid :D fingers crossed it stays down as long as possible :)

YOU ARE MY RAINCLOUD

MY ONLY RAINCLOUD

YOU MAKE ME HAPPY

WHEN SKIES ARE BLUE

YOU'LL NEVER KNOW, DEAR

HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU

PLEASE DON'T TAKE

MY RAINCLOUD AWAY

(It's raining here, if you hadn't figured that out. :P)

I connect to this on a deep and emotional level.

(Though it's worth pointing out that Louisiana is completely different. So if you want rain, maybe visit sometime?

Different... how?

And I'm pretty sure New Orleans is on my bucket list.

In the sense that one day it'll be sunny with the bluest skies you've ever seen; the next, the sky turns dark and unsettling as it pours down so much rain that side streets flood and your parking lot becomes a pond. It's awesome.

Excellent.

Storms, I love storms. Is there any place where storms are more frequent than the others (with the obvious exception of Roshar - I still can't get my probability drive to get me to imaginary reality)?

Also, strong winds also work for me.
