I can see that, really...different shades of selfishness in relationships and how they affect their partners...it's an interesting comparison, possible even without sending Funtimes careening toward Creepsville. :P

Transistor?

It also helps that both Funtimes and Shiny Sparkle are colorful woman of mass destruction... and all three have a thing for Redheads.

The second game by Supergiant Games, their previous game Bastion was also awesome if I might say so. The premise of the game is that the Protagonist Red, (not ours and fittingly also a redhead) has lost her voice and her friend got imprisononed in some sci-fy sword, called the Transistor and the town is being assimilated by something called the process. That´s all I´m saying about it right here, because I probably won´t do a good job describing it in text. What I can say is that the game´s greates strenght is atmosphere and narrative/narration.

What is Bastion?

It´s an action RPG with an awesome lemony narrator in a steampunk style. Storywise something called the Calamity (again not ours) destroyed the city of Caelondia and the surrounding land, tearing most of it into the sky. The protagonist, only known as The Kid, finds himself in the Bastion together with another survivor. From there they (mostly Kid) go out to find what they need to completely power the Bastion and save what can still be saved.

I'm not a gamer (mostly because I suck at video games ) but those both sound awesome.

That is absolutely impossible. Backtrack, doesn´t have the spine needed to face anything.

You're kidding, right? Backtrack has the eye of the tiger.

At home. Hidden under his mattress, so it can't scare him. :P

Backtrack is as swift as the coursing river... when something is chasing him.

Backtrack has all the force of a great typhoon... privately, in front of a mirror.

Backtrack has the strength of a raging fire... when he accidentally catches himself on fire.

Backtrack is as mysterious as the dark side of the moon... when he's not sobbing and detailing his troubles to anyone who happens to be present.

So all things considered, Steve Lawrence is a perfect man according to Mulan. :P

Oh, they are. Both game of the year canidates in my humble opinion. (The soundtracks are also absolutely beautiful by the way, especially Transistor´s (probably helps the main character is a singer in that one.)) Funny that you bring up difficulty. The games handle that in an interesting way. Instead of difficulty settings they have handicaps that make the game harder (enemies are stronger, faster, get shields ect) but also give an additional exp reward.

But only, if he´s alone in front of a mirror, while on fire and running away from his own shadow... Kobold do you want to make Backtrack a man? :P

Actually, when can we get the delightful look into his mind about getting stringed along and him now being examined by the Koschei a cat? :P

To YouTube I go! :P

Is this going to happen? Because  think it should happen. Soon. :D

Might want to check the TvTropes awesome music page for recomendations.

So, even if I don´t really have plans for Rainbow, I´m still working on his power portfolio on the sideline and decided that he needs to have a power where he disolves into rainbow-colored light, similar to Sourcefield, allowing him lightspeed transportation. Why does he need this? Simple, to pull of a Rainbow Dash. B)

By which I mean, it can happen as soon as someone can help me set it up, and I'll be posting soon. :P:D

There is no more worthy cause than to bring a sonic rainboom to Oregon. Just make sure it causes extensive property damage, considering what our campaign goal is. :P

We like to see you suffer? Didn´t we already explain that to you? It´s your raison d'etre

Honestly, I´m kind of tempted to, once I´ve finished him backstory included, have him burst into the Dalles. I wonder what would be more entertaining him being Shiny Sparkles brother and warning Autumn not to hurt his sister or as her ex and challenging Autumn to a duel for Shiny Sparkles affection. (and in both cases falling for her to build that harem.)

That´s mostly joking at this point, though. (Which we all know means it´s essentially canon. ;))

I call dibs on "Doctor Incredible Raccoon." :P

Was that a Supervillian or a Pony?  :P

Also, can anyone see my profile Icon? I'm just seeing the Image thing.

Supervillain name. Though the pony name I generated, "Onyx Justice," seems oddly fitting for an Epic. :P

I can see it just fine. Two red dice covered in 6's. You cheater.

I found a Battle-axe name generator on it.... Timeport's axe might get a new name :P

One of the sample names was Grim Cleaver. It is disturbingly easy to picture Timeport giving his axe this name.

Though a far more terrifying (and still in-character) method would be for Timeport to give his axe a female name. Then, when he kills someone, he can go through a brief introduction to his "lady" before informing them, with a creepy grin and lots of blood, that "she" is a battle-axe.

EDIT: One of the names generated was Corpsemaker. I'm still laughing at the irony.

Timeport definitely strikes me as the type who would name his battle-axe.

I love the name generators on that site, though. I'm already trying to think of convoluted scenarios in which I would get to use the name "Gaslond," from the random city name generator. :P

It's disturbing how well I can imagine Timeport referring to his axe as "his lady." :o Though I warn that many childish limericks about Timeport sitting in a tree with his "beloved" would be written by Sam. Well out of his range of hearing, of course.

I got "Twilight's Ivory Greataxe." I'm not sure whether the mental image of Twilight Sparkle wielding a greataxe is hilarious or terrifying. :P

If he hadn't been an Epic for just one day, I'd be more surprised he hasn't named it already.

Firefight spoilers. Proceed with caution.

Rending or no, I still feel perfectly justified posting this picture whenever Timeport is mentioned.

d5b147bb633aff148e5372364a24a1ee.png

After all, his Rending only included a ban on the word "archipelago." :P

That settles it. Timeport must give his axe a female name so Sam can write childish limericks. :P

….I can't decide if that episode would make me head for the hills, or grab the popcorn.

Hey, the word "archipelago" can be suggestive of immoral activity. Think of the young, impressionable citizens of the Fractured States. :P

I'm torn between the desire to have Sam meet Timeport so she can start mocking him, and my firm knowledge that there would be no conceivable way for her to survive the encounter.

"Dear Princess Celestia. Today I learned that while unicorn magic can be used quite effectively in a military setting, sometimes there's simply no beating the thrill of wielding an enormous bladed melee weapon. Your faithful and victorious student, Twilight Sparkle."

And any song with the word "hands," "feet," "head," "lips," or "heart" in it. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" was banned when MG saw the title and nearly had a heart attack. Eclipses are suggestive! Somehow.

There's a way. Remember a few Questions back when we discussed having Aldo shoot Timeport with a motorcycle?

"Moral, I really don't understand your hatred of eclipses. They have nothing to do with sex, drugs, or violence. Why then are we banning them?"

"They're indecent."

"How in Calamity's name can you argue eclipses are indecent?"

"How can you argue that they're wholesome? Every eclipse I've ever seen has taken place in the dark. If they were somehow decent, then why can't they be held in broad daylight? When you can answer me that, then you can have your filthy little astronomical phenomenon back."

That is a fair point. We should really return to Operation Motorcycle Cannon.

By the way, I support Sam being present when Timeport dies, so she can give Angel Zoe Finch a high-five. :P

I support both of these ideas. :P

Yes. Yes I am. :P

By the way, it's only fair to warn you all that if Nighthound dies at the hands of Fade, then Lightwards will require a new Dragon to serve as his lieutenant. This will likely mean progressively darker Aldo scenes.

Sam and Angel would probably get along well, actually. They both had their families torn apart by Epics, though in slightly different ways. If Sam met her, she'd try to talk her mother into officially adopting her into their bakery business.

Okay, that settles it. Expect a comic of Moral Guardian's Rending soon.  :D

I look forward to it. :D
