Given a formal fallacy is disambiguated by structure, giving me ten instances of affirming the consequent should not, by any sensible understanding of what a formal fallacy is, count, as these have been disambiguated by content.Oh well. Gleeman, what you listed was ten examples of a single formal fallacy, Affirming the Consequent, which basically goes, "If P, then Q. Q, therefore P." What Kasmir was looking for were ten distinct formal fallacies. To be fair, I probably couldn't have gotten that question myself. I could name dozens of informal fallacies, but only a handful of formal fallacies. My favorite fallacy is the Fallacy Fallacy, Argument from Fallacy, which assumes that any argument that contains a fallacy must be false. It's like a meta-fallacy! 2

Well, that hasn't happened in this thread since about forever (I remember many people who made mistakes in their WLIU responses who haven't bothered to do so), but more importantly, I don't think it's sporting to ask that of Gleeman. I don't really consider that an answer, but the fault is mine for not phrasing my question in such a way as to avoid that loophole. In future, I will be certain to be a bit more precise with my language.

Premiere League, Bundesliga, La Liga, etc. are all too easy. MLS is well known enough that someone other than me on this site can hopefully get it, but hard enough that everyone and their mother won't know it. On the flip side, if no one gets this, I'm done trying to make partially difficult ones. We might call it "winning" if no one answers, but someone answering correctly is more fun.
