TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted January 9, 2015 Author Posted January 9, 2015 Yes. Is her brother scary beyond all reason?
Edgedancer he/him Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Is her brother scary beyond all reason? No.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted January 9, 2015 Author Posted January 9, 2015 No. Is this brother mentioned in her bio?
Kobold King he/him Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I'll admit, "Vanilla, Epic, High Epic" is a much tougher game than I'd anticipated it being.
Edgedancer he/him Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) Is this brother mentioned in her bio? No. (You kind of shot yourself in the foot with that one although on the plus side you are going to get new backstory. ) I´m going to sleep now, so we´ll have to take a break I fear. I'll admit, "Vanilla, Epic, High Epic" is a much tougher game than I'd anticipated it being. And that´s where the fun comes from. Edited January 9, 2015 by Edgedancer
Kobold King he/him Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 So... don't mean to interrupt, but I was reading the Epics of Oregon thread and I did a bit of a double take at this one: My second epic: Epic name: Anagairia Sakitoa Primary Power: Water Manipulation, flying, super speed and able to transform into a fish-like creature. Appearance: Red straight hair, looks about sixteen, usually wearing a blue t-shirt and shorts with a glowing seahorse necklace around her neck Personality: Friendly but when angered, she is one not to be messed with. History: Anagairia used to live on a planet called Azrion, over 200 lightyears away, but at the age of twelve, she moved to Oregon. She sounds neat, and please note I'm not trying to stifle anyone's creativity... but were aliens discussed with the GM? Aliens are kind of a big game changer, and as of yet aren't part of Reckonerverse canon. Just wondering if Anagairia was officially sanctioned.

Elsa, would you mind making her human? I'd like to keep this game Earth-specific.
Kobold King he/him Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 No...aliens weren't mentioned at all. Elsa, would you mind making her human? I'd like to keep this game Earth-specific. Breaking News: Oregon utterly destroyed by Azrionite battlecruiser crashing into the planet. All trees, buildings, and natural features completely annihilated. Byringian Oligarchy claims non-involvement; Queen of the Supernal Sky-State refuses to send foreign aide, on grounds that surviving members of the Jäger family make site unsafe for relief workers. Yeah, it seems things could get a bit out of hand. I think an Epic who claims to be an alien who's come to Earth to unite humanity could be pretty neat, though. Especially if it were Anagairia, whose ability to take a bizarre fish-like shape could support her claims and enable her to form a cult. 2
Kobold King he/him Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Does she have any directly offensive abilities? Depends on what you mean by "direct." Water manipulation could be used to devastating effect in skilled hands, and a super speedster with a knife or sword could take on armies single-handedly.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 You know, I really wish this were the case. However, I have yet to see the Master in any of the Doctor Who episodes I've watched yet, so sadly, this is not the case Well, being sick today, I managed to watch four episodes of Doctor Who so far and just finished The Doctor Dances. May I say, it might be my favorite so far. Also I have a couple questions: Is Eccleston the ninth or tenth doctor and what doctor is the most current one? Which episodes should I skip, if there are any? Yeah, being an alien Epic is making it a bit too weird I think. But I like Kobold's suggestion. My guess in VEHE: Bloody Mary. 2

Christopher Eccleston is the Ninth Doctor. The most current is Peter Capaldi, who plays the Twelfth Doctor in Season 8. Personally I wouldn't recommend skipping any on your first go-through. I love a lot of episodes that tend to get hated, and I've hated episodes that are quite often adored. So skipping any episodes might rob you of an experience you'd greatly enjoy while others disdain.

Just reading you guys' comments on it makes me nervous about that one. 1

For me it was the monster design and certain jokes in poor taste that ruined it for me. * eye twitches at the acknowledgement * 1

Or just watch the preview for it in the previous episode. Which season is that in?
Kobold King he/him Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 So, maybe I'll start it and see? Or just watch the preview for it in the previous episode. Which season is that in? Tenth episode of Season 2, with David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor. But not nearly enough of David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor to justify the episode, in my opinion.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Oh, and one thing I have to say: Have any of you seen Arrow? Especially you Whovians? Because of the character that the actor for Captain Jack plays in the series, I can't make myself like him or trust him. He's Malcolm Merlyn, for Calamity's sake!

Quiver he/him Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) Eight! Someone say Seven, so the countdown can continue! And Mailliw- YES. I'm a big Arrow fan if you didn't know; I'm also a big fan of Jack Harkness. So Captain Jack, playingb(arguably) the main villain in a show I like? Yes. I actually considered using Merlyn as a picture, after I had used Oliver for a while, but...never really found one Zi liked. Edited January 10, 2015 by Quiver 2

Kobold King he/him Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Seven! Who dares to post Six and his…um…creative outfit? Six! Saving planets, discovering civilizations, and strangling companions all in time for tea. Do I hear a celery-sporting prime numbered Time Lord coming on...? 1

I do watch and enjoy Arrow but have only ever watched the Dr. Sporadically it's one of those things I keep meaning to get around to but then Brandon releases a new book and I have to spend a month reading and re-reading it over and over again to comb it for clues.
Fatebreaker he/him Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) Break backs. All the backs. Like, he claps his hands together and the spine of anyone within five miles of him is snapped like a toothpick. His weakness is Backtrack, because Backtrack has no spine. So, this Epic is basically Bane post Calamity? Edited January 10, 2015 by Fatebreaker 2
