It hasn't really hindered me until today though. I felt it getting worse and worse so I just stepped out in order to avoid hurting it even more. During break I went to one of the directors and asked if they knew any stretches I could do. And I kid you not. Two seconds later. Five other directors appear. Out of like thin air. Like did this poor band kid's pleas for help bring them over ?? How did they even know ?? Hive mind ?? Where did you guys come from I didn't ask for you 1

We returned to find a "friendly reminder" in our mailbox, all about how we have to bring our fans in immediately. How much postage do you spend on those "friendly reminders," HOA? Could you actually do something people WANT with that money? And seriously, they net so much from dues and fees that they're running out of things to spend it on. There's a road a few miles from my house. The intersection is getting a stop light. It doesn't need a stop light. All it's going to do is slow down traffic most of the day. Yet they don't do fun things, like hire a man dressed like Santa to ride around on a decorated fire truck and give candy to the kids. The fire department back in Spokane did that, and my neighborhood didn't have no fancy HOA. But now we have an HOA, and do they do fun stuff? Noooo. 1

My parents chose a neighborhood with an HOA because they had trouble selling a few houses when their neighbors let their lawns become overgrown and cluttered with toys and tools. Ironically, it was this neighborhood's HOA that taught me to avoid all HOAs the way writers are supposed to avoid cliches. 1

Ironically, it was this neighborhood's HOA that taught me to avoid all HOAs the way writers are supposed to avoid cliches. We got lucky and stumbled upon a subdivision that had disbanded their HOA several years back. Apparently, that's possible if enough of the neighborhood gets together and votes the bums out.
