Willshaper42 He/Him Posted April 17 Posted April 17 I think Cohesion is the best because it literally lets you talk with the stone. It's basically seen everything, even though you might have to persuade it to tell you.
Verdance he/him Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Wait which of cohesion and tension allows you to control stone with your mind and what does the other do?

Both have an influence over stone Cohesion causes objects to become and act like liquid, Tension causes them to become more rigid and frim. You're probably thinking about cohesion as that's what Venli has

NerdSandwich she/her Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Illumination! May be biased as a Truthwatcher, but I do really like that Surge.

Bondsmith adhesion is the coolest because of all the wackadoodle connection and spiritweb things they can do.

Beholder He/him Posted June 30 Posted June 30 I voted the wrong one but in my opinion tension is SO overpowered. Having read the SA RPG book Tensions powers are really good. You can turn ropes into staffs, hit your opponents, make it loose, have it wrap around your opponent, and then tighten again. The (Canon) book also says that the 4th ideal. You can walk on water! Pieces of cloth can turn into shields.
Trafficonia He / Him Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) My "daily driver" is a motorcycle, and I hope I never have to give it up. Abrasion has to be my choice. Either sliding through traffic, or in the case of a hard stop I'd love to be able to just sliiiiiiiide instead of skid. Edited 19 hours ago by Trafficonia 1
Mystfall He/Him Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago So. I seem to have very different priorities to all of yall. I don’t want to make billions, I want something that doesn’t affect my life too much but that’s still cool. I don’t want to have to worry about messing things up either. That takes out division, gravitation, tension, elsecalling, transformation and progression. My ability in the surge correlates to my ability to control myself and my knowledge in what I’m doing. Which unironically makes me want to pick division(that one trick we get shown of burning patterns into wood is so cool) but, I’d go with abrasion, because unconsciously reaching for that would get me out of situations rather than into them. Gives me grip if I’m falling. Lets me squeeze through if I’m stuck, those things. Dustbringers do have an amazing combination of surges btw. Division and Abrasion
