Trutharchivist he/him Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Since a lot of the recent posts in Sharder Memes have been about past Shard generations, I thought maybe we should start a different thread for that. So hi! I'm Trutharchivist (Arch for short), and I've been here since... I want to say July 2020? Somewhere along those lines. I never left the Shard, I just only hung around Sharder memes talking about the Law of Degrading Activity. I fondly remember the old RPG I played with a couple of Shard friends that are no longer active here, along with the 1 million post celebration. 1
NerdyAarakocra They/Them Posted January 22 Posted January 22 I personally would like to pour one out for the old contact info with your AIM and MSN handles. I also still get tripped up when I'm trying to get to Forum Games because I remember when it was nested under General Discussion.
Frustration Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Has anyone else gone inactive only to come back and everyone remembers someone else for something you used to be famous for? Saying that because apparently @Treamayne is famous for dropping WoBs on new sharders to either prove or disprove their theories. That used to be my thing. 1

To be fair, it was you, me and @alder24 - all three of us would respond with WoBs and book quotes (but rarely the same thread, if I saw you or Alder already responded; I knew my input was not needed). Besides, I thought I was better known for the Sharder FAQ and "the welcome message" Quote Welcome to the Shard. Please consider an Intro Post to let us know what you have or have-not read (whichever list is shorter). Also, please consider checking out the Sharder FAQ for some useful forum info and tips.

Frustration Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Does anyone else miss when you could see who had recently looked at your profile? I used to use that to quickly look at all of my friends.
Trutharchivist he/him Posted May 16 Author Posted May 16 Not sure. Mostly because I feel awkward about people knowing I looked at their profile, but I suppose that's a me thing, and it is kind of interesting. Don't think I used it much, though.

It's been a hell of a time. Some ups (I married said girl) Some downs (my dad passed from cancer in January) Some interesting (wrote the best poetry of my life like a month ago and submitted it for consideration in a major competition) Hope things have been well with you! It's been too long. 4

It's been too long. It really has been too long. Congratulations on your mairage, though I'm sorry to hear abput your father. I've mostly just been teaching God's word and trying to get people off drugs. I got back from my mission recently and mostly been trying to get life and employment figured out, but it's been fun. 3

All very important work. I have no doubt that all will be sorted out soon enough. If you're interested in some fun/epic reading I dropped that best poem I was talking about on my profile wall. I'd love to hear what you think.

Through The Living Grub He/Him Posted May 23 Posted May 23 Don’t think I count as this group. But I remember Thaidakar’s massive TLT lore posts, Platypus in Battle for the Sandwich, and seeing Glass on occasion. I feel like the tone of the Shard has changed over the years, or if I just didn’t interact much in the community forums so I only now get that side of things. If it isn’t super known, I’m Xiahida. 1
