I loved them so much! I did them alternating purple and aqua, but I had to take them off this morning so my parents didn't find out.

I just got back from my friends house where we walked a mile and a half uphill to the top of the neighborhood. The elevation change was over 300 feet. It was a bad idea, but it was fun. They also wanted to paint my nails but I was scared to let my parents find out.

I feel you, girl. I had to take off my sparkly ones this morning because soccer.

Aww that's sad. I think that I'm going to tell my parents that my friends forced me into getting my nails painted next time. Idk tho. I only have 59 days left to come out to them though...

Remember...you don't actually have to come out to them until you're ready. Don't force yourself to do something you don't want to. I still think it could be helpful, but...like, go at your own pace.

I feel like I need to set a deadline otherwise I'm just going to keep procrastinating and it will never happen...

You could always just do it now. If you don't want to keep putting it off, it's still putting it off to wait 2 months.

Yeah but what would I even say? How would I do it? I don't even know if I'm ready...

you could just paint them and not explain it

Your parents might raise an eyebrow (like my dad) or have a talking to you about how, "okay, we get it, you're trans, but do you really have to be trans now" (like my mom). But for the most part, you probably won't regret it

Again, if you're not ready don't do it. But...if you want to do it but, like, don't have the courage...then don't put it off. I may sound contradictory ("If you're not ready, put it off. Oh, also make sure not to put it off."), but I'm trying to help. Do you want to tell them, but just don't know how? Or are you not ready? If you aren't ready, it's fine to wait until you're comfortable. If you are at the point where you're looking for a way to tell them (and want to tell them, despite any difficulties), then we can probably help. You can text them, maybe. Or (I forget who said this before) say you have something important to tell them, so you can't back out.

Yes, you could do that too.

the difficulty is getting the words out. After that it'll be natural.

Yeah I want to tell them, but I'm just not sure how...

I think I might be there.

It's just hard to be ready to put basically your biggest secret out there for the world. And the hard thing for me is that I don't like to be in the spotlight. I can act like I do (I think I'm a pretty good actor), but I'm actually pretty shy. I avoid difficult conversations where I can, and generally I'm a coward

Ok. You can (possibly based on your app) schedule send messages

Guys how do I know if I actually don't like men's clothes?

I like women's clothes. I think.

But I also haven't worn men's clothes in a little bit and what if I don't actually hate them? I don't think I really hate them... What if my style just changed and now I like that sort of clothes?

I guess I could try them on again...

But...

Like maybe I never gave them a chance? Or didn't like them a while ago but now I do? Like I always hated jeans, but now I'm started wearing women's jeans and I love them! But I also hadn't worn .... the other gender jeans .... in a while! Years even! Or months! Idk!

So what if my style just changed...

Or what if I just like nice clothes in general? Not that I want to wear .... the other clothes .... but what if I don't give them a chance?

I also never wore nice clothes that much, probably my fault. So...what if I went that long thinking I hated them but didn't? Can I really trust what I thought a few years ago? What if it's changed?

I mean, I love wearing women's clothes and they are great and comfy and look nice, but how do I know the same isn't true for ... men's?

Update: I tried speaking in, like, a higher or more fem voice when I was alone. It was interesting. Also I really didn't needa try at all, and got it right away, but not saying it sounded at all good. Idk if it did or not. Probably sounded weird. But still. It was also a little tiring.

Update again: I feel like some clothes don't fit me, or rather my body. Like I have a new crop top or two/fem shirts, and they look rlly cute and I wanna wear them, but I tried them on and they look weird on me. So I'm probably not gonna wear them... or at least under a sweater so no one can see...

That's rough. Whenever you leave anything that you want somewhere it sucks.

This meme isn't exactly accurate, and I'll try to explain the dynamics of it later when I have time.

Yeah, trans masc people are a lot less online, while we are mostly out to people online and that's it.

Right, so there's a few factors that lead into what's going on in the meme.

One is that those society sees as men are more pressured to be less open about their feelings, causing feelings of toxic masculinity and internalized transphobia that often hamper egg cracking and coming out. However, internet usage of people society sees as women is more commonly poisoned with toxic femininity and internalized transphobia, which has similar effects.

If this was confusing, tldr, real life is a more toxic environment for trans women, and trans men are either more likely to not be chronically online, or suffer through toxic femininity if they are.

Note that none of these are blanket statements, this doesn't apply to everyone or all spaces, it's just an average.
