Sure, poke votes aren't perfect; but do you have anything better? As several people have pointed out, the first day and night hardly gave us enough content to go off, and a heavy imbalance in participation

...

Summary of the day so far:

Penguin pokes Twin

BelOh backs Penguin on Twin

Araris votes TOW on tenuous logic

I joke-poke Araris

Jo votes Coder with very tenuous logic

Short fight between Twin and Penguin over validity of poke-votes

TOW votes Twin for defensiveness - understandable

TOW bends easily to pressure, votes BelOh, quickly retracts and doesn't vote anyone else

TUH shows up but doesn't really say much

Stink votes me without reasoning

I make an analysis post

Jo makes a decently long analysis post that didn't really amount to anything (although I'm not really one to talk), gives VC

Araris dislikes my post

Jo votes me for some reason

Araris votes me as well

...

My reads:

Penguin and CD I don't know what to think; they both act like they normally do, but I also said that about CD last game and he was elim. So I'm leaning neutral on both of these. Bonus points to CD for defending Twin's actions to TOW even when he disagreed with their intention.

Araris... I don't know. I didn't like the early suggestion of Doc's enemies, mainly for the logic, but also who was targeted: the list included both Masters. To his credit, Araris did accuse TOW, but it's worth putting out there. Later Araris went after me, with reasoning that I understand but disagree with on a fundamental level. So maybe this is my own sense of self defense speaking, but I am slightly e!leaning Araris at the moment.

Jo, I quite disliked the attack on Coder. The logic of Coder's disappointment seemed a little absurd, but I really don't know what Jo's playstyle usually is - although Araris implies he's a veteran. I appreciate the VC, but I am a little sus, particularly from the vote on me. Slightly e!leaning.

TOW has been a little quiet, but pretty reasonable. Don't like how easily he folded to pressure on his TwinStorm vote, though. Slightly e!leaning.

TUH hasn't done enough for a read.

TwinStorm... a bit forceful, but seems noble. My gut tells me he is well-intentioned. Slightly v!leaning.

@Hoid Slayer seems we both suspect each other, but I’ll vote on TOW with you. Hoid Slayer. Other than my meta-concerns about exeing TwinStorm, I’m pretty happy with the 3-way tie this results in, in the sense that I have concerns about everyone involved.

Okay, let's look at the logic. Killing Doc for making an alliance of PMs? Doing that in this game is frankly ridiculous.

That's an extremely weak reason for an elim kill, and the motives of the elim kills that I've laid out make more sense. Is it the elim's favor for one of their own to clarify the kill? Fog of war, mate. An elim wants confusion and me trying to explain it doesn't make sense. If you look at how I play elim, I encourage fog of war play style, which is not why I (hope) I'm doing this game.

Bee, personally, I gave you a roseite spore yesterday, if you may have noticed. Explain e!Storm doing that.

when was i given a spore? personaly aman never mentioned anything about that unless they were planning on giving it at the start of the night cycle.

if you had actually given a spore then that would change things as i cant think of a way that you as an elim would have done that...

Just kidding and busy.

I didn't like the train springing up on HS and I think I like it disappearing quickly even less.

1. RBM is your teammate

2. Seems village

3. You don't have a teammate as an apprentice and an eventual protect is better than a scan, kill, steal, or rb.

~

Okay, here's what's going through my head. I'm old, so this is kinda drawing on old meta but hear me out. Elim trains get broken up or countertrained. Village trains tend to stay in the lead. Twinstorm is in an odd in-between, but I think it looks more like attempted counter trains than fizzling.

Point two, late trains rarely catch elims imo. Maybe that's just because I'm a common late train, but that's what I think. I think early side trains are best at it. Twinstorm is not one of those.

Also consider, two village masters seems a bit odd to me. Rand is as rand is though, so /shrug

In conclusion, idfk. Once, I wouldn't have vote here, but I'm trying to participate more d1.

Edit: I'm probably going to get exed for this later, but whatever. Or I'm right and I'll get Elim killed for it. Either way.

Yeah, I’m mildly suspicious of TwinStorm as well. But people went after TwinStorm pretty hard in that same game for bad reasons, and getting exed repeatedly at the start of games just isn’t very fun, especially if you haven’t done much to deserve it. At least during our first exe we have the leeway to take things like that into consideration when deciding who to vote out.

Not to mention, at least early on, it’s not a bad idea to propose a bunch of exe candidates. That make it more likely that we end up pressuring an elim.

I’m excluding TUO based on a hunch, but it’s really just a gut feeling. Somehow despite the number of games we’ve played together I don’t have a great feel for his playstyle.

Somebody’s getting 3/4 rations for breakfast today. :P

Sorry, didn't see this before, but if this is the meta reason, I've been through enough games to take an early kill

if im elim kill me, im no snowflake :P

LG108, Night Two — Fuejrheisjjeirjeujdjeuuduwii-cide

Despite Salay, Fort, and Ann's best efforts, Braid's death had been a spark that ignited the new recruits' paranoia. Many were... not used to hard or dangerous work, for a lack of kinder words; but to be fair, none of the senior crew had anticipated casualties in the Verdant Sea. This was their realm. Their territory. Each of them understood that if this was indeed the work of the Midnight Cultists, they must've had a role in the day's chaos too. At this point, they needed to get to Diggen's Point fast.

Accusations spread like wildfire, often coalescing on Master Rane. Even one of his Apprentices had briefly wanted him dead in the confusion. But in the end, it was the masked man with the knife fixation and the impossible-to-pronounce-name that ended up drawing the majority's ire. It certainly didn't help that he was seen breaking into Helmsmaster Salay's cabin while she was busy piloting the ship, though it was later, at the cargo hold, where the mysterious figure confronted Sozar, baring threats of steel edges and causing a scene.

Armiel the aspiring cook and Shifter, the Mage Slayer, the Forsaken Son (all one guy, by the way) had formed a tenuous alliance over their mutual suspicions. Master Rane and Apprentice Thorne, similarly, had put their differences aside to defend the fearful Sozan. All they had wanted were some answers, but Feurjhausjeriwhatever it was—refused to give anything without getting the same.

In the heat of the moment, Sozan had been taken hostage by an excessive number of blades, tucked between each of the masked man's fingers. All it took was a single twitch for a drop of Sozan's blood to be shed, and with it, a confirmation. Sozan's obsession with Roseite went deeper than pink being his favorite color. Without spores or a pot, crystals burst out, knocking the mysterious figure off balance and destroying his most precious belonging. The knife of his one true Master. His Father. If He ever found out, He would kill him, and not even close to instantly...

The masked figure scrambled back into the wall, lips mumbling and limbs trembling. Long buried memories flashed before his eyes. Five figures loomed above him, but it was Father he saw. Towering. Menacing. A thousand cuts burned upon his skin.

"What is your [Name]!"

"Fierih... Feujhir... Fruije..."

"No! No! No! What is your [Name]!"

"Fuejr...heisj...jurijue..!"

"NO! WHAT IS YOUR [NAME]!"

"Fue...jr...heis...j...jeir...jeuj...djeu...u...du...wi..."

Fuejrheisjjeirjeujdjeuuduwii's heart hammered, his scarred hand reaching for a weapon he both loved and feared.

Fuejrheisjjeirjeujdjeuuduwii's heart stammered, that same hand now empty save for a single shimmering sphere.

It was Armsmaster Ann who felt the heaviest shame. She had been the one to invite him aboard. His life was her responsibility, no matter his past. Or perhaps, especially, because of it.

Sunlight pots burst in the air as she, and the dusk, approached. "Everyone! To the cabins! Now! There's been enough deaths for one day!"

william could do nothing but stare as he fell to his knees next to the body... "i'm so sorry... i didnt know... if i had only chose someone else..." william felt deep in his core what felt like horror at what he'd done... he'd been the last to chose them... the last to sentence them... it was his fault that they were dead...
