The elims could be hidden literally anywhere, and the village is in a worse place than if TwinStorm is elim. As the last one to join the train, and a weird vote and switchback with BBB, CD could be considered e!leaning. Projecting even further, e!CD could lead into e!BBB due to that weird behavior as potential distancing - although maybe that's my own read against BBB projecting.

The reason I voted BBB was as a Poke Vote (ish). I wanted him to respond to what I believed as legitimate reasoning on my end. At the end of the day, I saw BBB as an un-substantial vote with me and a Vengence Vote, and I agreed with your Twin reasoning. I thought that his reasoning was (Fairly) solid, and that was enough grounds for me to switch to my other e!read that was more likely to play out (Twin). This was his response:

My explination: Polly literally hadn’t posted, so I thought someone voting her was super sus. Araris and Twin both seemed to me to be trying to start trains without evidence. I now understand that, at least for araris’s vote, this is a strategy called “poking”, stupid accusations no one is supposed to take seriously, but that get reactions that can be used to make reads.

I stand by my Twin vote tho. Poking only makes sense if there’s zero votes on someone; if someone’s already voted them, the reward of a second, less valuable reaction is outweighed by the risk of getting your target exed. Twin didn’t give a reason at all. I believe I would’ve voted him even if @Hoid Slayer hadn’t brought the matter to my attention.

I actually like your justification here, since it makes sense

I'm still keeping an eye on you, though

Also, forgot to mention earlier, but I'm placing my vote on TwinStorm. I know I said earlier, and I quote, that we were "wasting our time" on him, but my analysis has made me realize how much information we could get out of his alignment. So, @TwinStorm, if you're villa, I'm sorry - but you've gotta take one for the team.

As for Polly, I don't think it's self explanatory, and would like to hear why you say it is.

Anyone who is being quiet is suspicious.

it's worth mentioning Doc started it

Why do you say it's relevant that Doc placed the first vote? In general I'd say the first vote on a player is insignificant compare to the later ones, at least during C1 when it's all pretty much random anyways.

I don't think we should all just hop on the TwinStorm train. For one thing, the only real reason to exe Polly is that an elim flip would reveal something about the vote changes C1. But TwinStorm hasn't been been suspicious in and of themselves (or if someone disagrees, feel free to elaborate).

  1. TOW I have a mild village read on but would like to hear from. Especially if Polly is village, we don't want to let the elims rest on a free exe
  2. Twinstorm is interesting. I'm getting slight village vibes from the vote on BBB but would like to hear a broader range of exe candidates, especially since a bunch of folks see you as the default option for today
  3. Polly has been quiet, and so I'd say she's a reasonable alternative to TS
  4. I'd exe Peng in a heartbeat, he's been around but not participating much. At the very least I'm curious whether you think exeing TS is a good option today, or who you would offer as an alternative otherwise
  5. Doc I have a base reluctance to exe because of how much fun it was chatting with him last game. While he sat on the same vote all game, which could be complacent elim behavior, he did justify that vote. Hasn't spoken up today. Would you join me on Penguin?
  6. Aman is like Doc, I have a base reluctance to exe him. As has been mentioned, he could be e/e with TS but otherwise I'd like to hear more.
  7. I am a cuddly stuffed bear
  8. KSauce is similar to Polly/Peng. Low activity and not a lot to go off of.
  9. I'd be happy with a CD exe, mostly on gut.
  10. I'm not sure about Hoid, but he's putting out enough content I'm happy to wait a while and see how my read of him develops
  11. I've got a light village read on BBB from D1, and probably from today, because tunneling is kinda villagery. But nothing I'm completely sold on

So I guess I'm fine exeing Polly, Peng, CD, KSause, and TS. Curious if anyone is opposed or in favor to any of those options in particular.

I am not happy abt the CD exe but I will say that I think Polly just isn't online much. Last time, she got removed for inactivity and thats how the elims won

But that's on her, not us. The only folks with an in-game reason to not try and find elims are the elims themselves. So quiet folks should always be on our radar for exeing, unless they give an IRL reason for their behavior. Exeing some that has been quiet doesn't generate a ton of information, but here we have some alternative options so that's not as big of a deal.

I'm saying it's relevant because you claimed that Doc was suspicious for potentially hiding on the train; I'm saying that he started it, and then left, before it became the good hiding place we both agree it was

Speaking of what I mean when I say Doc left, as I don't think you understood it well,

Doc said C1 that he wasn't going to be back online until Monday. As a courtesy, I wouldn't exe him before then - although I have him read more v!leaning, anyways

I do, actually

I think TwinStorm's death will reveal more than any other I can think of, and we are under little pressure to catch an elim tonight

Why? It's common for elims to join trains against each other early on the game, and then leave them

I don't think a Polly flip would reveal much

As a principle, I agree with this

However, I also know that there are a slew of IRL reasons that make that solving difficult

Plus, the last time I was in a game with Polly and she was highly active, she was elim

But I hear your worries, and I am a little concerned that right now there are only three of us interacting here. However, I don't think we should fire all our pressure on one person

This was a typo. I kept confusing Polly and TS when writing that post for some reason.

I misunderstood you. I thought you were saying I should be more suspicious of Doc.

Also, to everyone who is saying TS gives us the most information, please elaborate as to what we learn from a v!TS flip. Because I’m fairly sure it’s less than we would learn from considering a wider pool of exe candidates today. And like I said, there doesn’t seem to be a secondary case for TS other than info.

Hi! I have internet for the next 2 hours while I'm out for dinner being antisocial! (thank you hoid slayer for being the only person who read my post)

Vote count:

TwinStorm (3): BBB, KSOS, Hoid

Penguin (1): araris

BBB (2): TwinStorm (Bondsmith)

From my quick skim, I really like hoid slayer and TwinStorm for their detailed if/then analyses

I believe there's little point in keeping my court secret. For interests of the solve, I am of Stoneward. Penguin is also in said Court. FWIW, They said the same thing about being suspicious of the vote switch but believing TwinStorm and TUH to both be innocent.

I think I like TwinStorm purely based on their actions this cycle where they tried to get BBB to come out with any other reads. Though based on my last game with them it's a little NAI

The main voice for exeing TwinStorm is Hoid slayers analysis.

I will put in a vote I'm just very not supposed to be on my phone right now and I'm just grabbing bits and pieces

It sucks that there aren't more people active (and I'm one of them but I feel like I telegraphed my absence early last cycle)

I'm going to vote for BigBadBagsworth because I think TwinStorm is innocent for now and I want to see what happens if there's another tie.

So, in conclusion, if TwinStorm is elim, that clears Doc, BBB, and CD, and incriminates Araris and Aman as his allies.

If TwinStorm is villa, it likely clears Aman, and the elims could be anywhere.

Honestly, I don't think TwinStorm is likely to be elim

I just don't know who else to vote, and I already have you down as a potential accomplice for him, so your voice isn't going to help me change my mind

Hi!

I appreciate the effort

I feel like by now, most people have gotten over or even forgotten TwinStorm's pile on Polly C1. Personally, yeah, I'm voting more for the data than anything.

For the record, if TwinStorm flips elim, my next targets would be Araris and Aman (who's been oddly quiet this cycle), and if he flips villa, my next targets would be BBB or CD

I respect this move; if BBB flips elim, that likely clears TwinStorm, which in turn clears the people v!TwinStorm would clear... *gears turn in head*

The question is whether the chance of BBB flipping elim is high enough to risk the information we would get from a TwinStorm exe for a potentially even greater reward

Because if BBB flips villa, that still tells us nothing about TwinStorm's alignment and the ensuing data

Ekkar Loral was burdened with the power of the gods. He knew the others saw him differently for it: saw it in their quick glances, they're furtive speech. Asking, "why him"? A question Ekkar had asked himself so many times before, and the answer too he still did not know. He had never thought he would find himself in this situation, and yet the past two days had seemingly flipped his life inside out. Was this how Evinir had felt that final month in Bevalis?

Ekkar had given up on receiving a response from Evinir. He was acting for himself now; for himself, and yet for everyone. He had no idea what he was doing. But for the first time in his life, he knew exactly what he should be doing. He was riding the waves of a confidence unprecedented to him. And he would not disappoint.

So this night, I get to make a new Court with two other people

But for now, I’m not in any

Also, KSauce, what do you think of recent events?

OOOOOH wait I am in Willshaper

Nevermind

Yeah

You're in 2 docs

3 if you're an elim

Recent events... I don't have many ideas. I agree with voting Storm, but he has said that he won't be active around this time, so he isn't here to defend himself, which is not a good thing.

Bondsmith's Breath rearranges the order of the gods, but after this cycle, there'll only be two left, so the recipient can either leave it as Stoneward, Willshaper or change it to Willshaper, Stoneward. I don't think that someone who wants to leave it as it is would be voted by Bondsmith people, so I think it's likely Willshaper will be giving up Breath next. Or maybe Bondsmith people vote someone who won't change it. Storm is sernior-most among the Bondsmiths but I don't think he's voting.

Other Bondsmiths, care to reveal yourselves? Or even Stonewards?

Yeah, it really ain’t…

Also, I like the tie for now

It gives elims a choice

Let’s see how they use it

It’s also worth mentioning though that until @Amanuensis or @KelsierApologist show up, Willshaper’s vote rests with Ksauce on TwinStorm

Any info on Stoneward?

So it’s not really a tie
