Tinwatcher I don’t mind Posted March 28, 2025 Posted March 28, 2025 (edited) Anshuman, or Ansu, walked into a store in Boston. It was pretty empty of item. When the apocalypse hit many people bought all the food they can, some stores closed others stayed open with few employees. Anshu neared the produce and pocketed a handful of potatoes. Should be enough, thought Anshu, as he started walking out the door. Edited March 28, 2025 by TheBestTruthwatcher

Piltzintecuhtli watched the mortal man. He was intelligent; knew his fair share of life about mythology from around the world, stayed calm under duress, and most importantly, he behaved rationally. So few mortals did that these days. … Mexico, 24 hours ago “Who will take this burden?” Huitzilopochtli’s words reverberated in the chamber. Two weeks ago, gods and deities from all over the world were released. The gods Piltzintecuhtli had spent his life with were thrust into an unfamiliar, advanced world. A world that barely remembered them. He didn’t have to read minds to know what the others were thinking. They had to fight. Make their mark. This was their chance. What god would forsake all that for such a menial task? Piltzintecuhtli stepped forward. “I will.” As he walked up to Huitzilopochtli, he could feel the gazes of the others, burning into him. Searing his flesh. Mictlantecuhtli, Quetzalcoatl, Tlaloc. Gods he respected. Xōchiquetzal. Piltzintecuhtli held his head low, avoiding their gaze. He turned his attention to Huitzilopochtli. ”I will take this burden.” … Current day Piltzintecuhtli took one last look at the mortal. Yes, this one would do. In an instant, he pushed a sliver of himself into this human, forcing him into a vision. The man now stood in the center of an endless sea. The clear water reached up to the man’s heels. If he looked up, he would see nothing but an endless expanse of black sky. Standing in front of the man, facing him, Piltzintecuhtli manifested himself. He took on the form of a human as well, and addressed the mortal. “Joseph Haverfield,” he said, in perfect Norwegian. “You have been chosen.” 1
Tinwatcher I don’t mind Posted March 28, 2025 Posted March 28, 2025 Anshu walked into his hideout. It was an apartment complex that was abandoned shortly after the start of the apocalypse. A wendigo snuck in and murdered the inhabitants. The wendigo was killed afterwards by law enforcement. Anshu grabbed a container and placed some potato’s in it.

He furrows his brow before saying in bad Norwegian "Norwegian isn't my first language. English?" Aztec? Oh crap. I don't know to much about Aztecs. Quote Remember he’s in the vision world now Piltzintecuhtli watched the man stumble in the water. At least he didn’t try to run. Most of them did that. ”English, yes. I can work with that.” He looked down at the pool of water, which suddenly began to shimmer. Colors bended around the surface, eventually settling to form an image of a small rune stone. “For millennia, this stone held the gods and myths of the world, collecting more and more over the ages. Two weeks ago, this stone was broken,” the rune stone in the water snapped, and an explosion of light rushed across the surface of the water, spreading past the pair’s feet. “And the myths were released.” From the broken parts of the rune stone suddenly shot out a massive column of light straight up into the sky, crossing in between the pair. Subconsciously, Piltzintecuhtli expanded Joseph’s sensory capacities within this vision, allowing him to fully experience this. Within the column of light moved hundreds, no, thousands, of forms. If one focused, they would see gods and monsters streaming past them, taking their place in the sky. Sure enough, the sky of the vision also changed, as orbs of light of different colors and sizes began to populate it.
