Who would win in a fight, Harmony or Retribution?

Asking to settle a dispute.

Unfortunately, this is the wrong place to post this topic. The Cosmere Q&A section is a place for asking simple questions with answers that already exist in books or WoB, not for speculations, theorycrafting or fight scenarios. Also, spoilers from WaT are not allowed in this place, you should have posted this in the Spoiler Zone, in the Cosmere Spoilers allowed section. You can see what each subforum is for in the description at the top of it:

New to the cosmere and want to know more? Have intensely deep questions and want cosmere experts to answer them? Here you can ask anything you desire! Spoilers are allowed, except for upcoming/new releases.

You should edit your post and hide the WaT spoilers in the spoiler box, with a proper warning placed before it. You can find out how to do this here Sharder FAQ, where you can find many other practical tips.

WaT spoilers:

As for the answer to your question, we don't know and everything is possible. However, judging from the fact that Harmony is impotent and can't do anything at all because of his two conflicting Shards, Retribution should have a big advantage over him, especially that Odium would have been able to deal with him before WaT and the current Vessel of Retribution seem to be aware of the state in which Harmony is. WoBs:

Spoiler

Questioner

Does Odium actually present a real threat to Harmony, because he-- *interrupted*

Brandon Sanderson

So Harmony is vastly more powerful than Odium.

Questioner

Yeah.

Brandon Sanderson

Elend was vastly more powerful than Vin. Who would win in a fight?

Questioner

Vin.

Brandon Sanderson

Okay, there's your answer.

Could Sazed take down Rayse since he has two shards?

Brandon Sanderson

Rayse is VERY scared of Sazed. However, given Sazed is a composite of two diametrically opposed shards, he finds it very difficult to act.

WaT:

Spoiler

Even Discord would likely struggle and fail to bring down Retribution in my opinion. Even once Sazed could act, he is still probably weaker because we know Preservation is noticeably weaker than Ruin (and presumably most shards), so he would be weaker than Retribution, not to mention less aggressive.

Retribution obviously his two intense are more in line with each other, and his overall intent is more inclined toward violence

I think Honor's probably weaker than other Shards as well, due to both the Heralds / "a few small pieces" of Honor being external and due to its proto-consciousness acting against the whole of Taravangian's will.

Retri would probably still win if he threw his might at Harmony, but he wouldn't win unscathed and I doubt the other Shards would allow it to be a true 1-on-1.

I understand that even mentioning Retribution is a spoiler for WaT, however, where should I post this question then? In the 'Spoilerzone'?

Also, the answers seem to be very much converging. Vindication!

I would agree that Honor is weaker, but I don't think it's as much weaker as Preservation. In addition, it depends on context. if Honor didn't like attacking Sazed, I think it would be quite difficult for Retri to win
