1. My dad had read Mistborn, Stormlight Archives bc Sanderson finished wheel of time and gave me Mistborn at a... disturbingly young age bc he forgot there's a lot of stuff in there an 8 and a half year old should not be reading, but I still loved it. I also had read The Rithmatist when I was a younger 8 (that one was bc of a barnes and noble employee). I read Stormlight about 2 years later, and my major Sanderson obsession started halfway through 8th grade (wow almost 2 years ago now) and that's when I read the rest of Sanderson's books.

2. I don't remember how honestly, just that I came across it halfway through 8th grade and lurked for like a year and a half before I finally got permission to make an account like 2 weeks ago

3. A weird pun based on the fact that I got the nickname Newt at a summer camp, and I couldn't come up with anything, so I figured I'm a bookworm, except my nickname was Newt (still not sure why my nickname was Newt), so I'm a booknewt

1. One of my lifelong goals is to read every book listed at the back of the DnD 5e player's handbook, and I always noted Mistborn seemed like a cool name. Then a friend of mine started reading The Final Empire, and I went "You know what? I might as well read them now."

2. I googled the Ghostbloods symbol pretty early on, went "I'm not going to look up anything else until I've read more", and now, having read more, can look things up.

3. I like writing and fire is cool.

1. I got recommended WoK, but it took me a bit to actually get it and start reading. I think the after finishing WoK, I practically walked out of the bookstore with the rest of SA in my arms, and maybe Mistborn.

2. Like so many others here, I found myself looking up questions (and unfortunately finding some spoilers). I didn't do much active browsing of the forum, but I relied on its internet results a lot. I didn't make an account until like a week ago.

3. One of the main reasons - aside from being involved in a Cosmere community - that I made my account was to post some theories I had been brewing up over the course of days/weeks/months (idk), including making notes on my phone of specific pages/quotes that were of interest.

1. I heard about Sanderson on the internet and a person I know recommended him to me, so when in the summer of 2024, I went zo the bookstore to look for something to read for the summer break, looking for Sanderson books, all they had where Tress and WoK I picked up the 2 parts of WoK (I am German we have nearly double the SA Books)

2. I found the Shard while trying to figure out what was the correct order for the SA Books, The German publishing industrie has some Interesting Ideas on the Numbering:

Way of Kings I

Way of Kings II

Words of Radiance I

Words of Radiance II

Oathbringer I

Oathbringer II

Edgedancer

Rythm of War I

Rythm of War II

Dawnshard

Wind an Truth I

Wind and Truth II

The Shard helped me to find the right way to read the Stormlight books. Until December of last year I occasionally lurked here, but with Fires of December beeing the first Book announcement I really noticed (I think WaT was already announced for December 24 and Emberdark well I was to busy reading Sanderson than to pay attention to Kickstarter Kampaigns.) and wanted to talk about.

3. My Name is one of the German Translations of the order of Truthwatchers, (yes there are two translations, yes I hate it, and yes after reading WaT in booth languages I will buy all future books only in english) I like truthwatchers, (according to Sandersons Radiant Quiz I am a Truthwatcher) the Name Truthwatcher was already taken and so I decided to use the more common German form

(The other translation only appears at the end of WoR)

3. My full username was TheShatteredCosmere, but I shortened it to Shatter.

I first got into Brandon’s works after watching a short on YouTube about it and then checking it out and liking it I read all his stuff a year ago. I found the shard after searching for a wiki for Brandon Sanderson and found the copper mind and then. The shard. My username comes from Novakidd and the ray part has a connection to my name but it also just fit.

I had a friend who was on TLM and he bet me that I couldn't finish the series before he could. Of course I did, and this was over the summer btw, and then I got into SA and read the whole thing in about 1.5 months.

Frankly, I don't remember finding the shard. I was just looking at Brandon's store and at his Spren plushies, and somehow found my way here.

It's based off of one of my characters from a book I'm writing. She is actually really cute.

A.) My dad was into it, so I read TFE at like ~9? I forget. A lot went over my head. He also got me into WoT as well (see pfp, signature, title).

B.) Pssh. I don't know. I was first interested in the Coppermind, then I looked at some of the other Sanderson sites. I lurked for a while before eventually making an account.

C.) It's related to my name in Chinese (I'm not Chinese, my dad just went to Taiwan on his mission).
