Ok so I was walking next to the dugout and stumbled into the fence thing. And someones glasses fell. Now of you've ever been to a softball or baseball game everyone wears pit vipers!!! And they are Hella pricey.. I go to pick them up and the rim is separated from the glasses part. My stomach drops. I go to my friend slightly panicking. Bc if I even get a wee bit in trouble I panic. Or if I make someone mad. So we manage to fix it bc its not that broken just a small Crack in the holding thing. The girls who it is and we are like. Is this yours? And she goes yeah why are they broke. And storms off. Now i feel like rust.... then im panicking more bc I made her mad and tjats horrible in my brain. And we go and like it's ok it's an easy fix they still work you need like a dab of glue it ain't that bad. Then she turns and like you have no clue anything about those or who gave them to me!! Ok so I broke her glasses and they are special. Panic more. And something unexpected happened. Like five of my teammates go and like. "You have no reason to be mad at hawks no matter what. It was am accident and an easy fix" another goes "its not your fault. She shouldn't be mad" and it's like.... these people.... are.. are defending me? Protecting me!??!?!? WHAT!!

Then I almost cried bc I realized these people actually care about me.

Yes people care about you. I know how easy it is to overanalyze things and conclude people don't like you but the truth is most of them didn't notice or lay in bed that night thinking "I should not have said/done that that could be taken the wrong way I'm such an idiot etc."

I firmly believe (most) people are really just trying their best and I'm happy to hear that your team will stand up for you.

Probably that girl was just having a bad day. Or maybe shes a bit of a jerk. Either way its not your fault at all and she shouldn't have behaved that way.

One time a teacher came by and I was on my computer with my face up close to the screen and she was like "Wow you must be watching something really intense" I was like nope doing the crossword just forgot my glasses

I am convinced my horrible vision came about from reading stormlight archives the first time I was ten read the first three books in three days only pausing to practice piano, eat, and go to swim team, . Stared at the tiny print for probably more than 12 hours a day in dim light and now my dad laughs at me because I can't read signs.

Worth it.

I have contacts...they make my eyes really dry though so I just wear my glasses and accept the risk that they will break (which my last pair did a month ago. Admittedly I was wearing them while stickfighting so...not unexpected)
