Not mine, but my friend thinks odium is secretly 2 shards, the shard of passion and the shard of anger. It's super unlikely, but would be cool.

Another crackpot one I randomly thought of today. El is actually an agent of Cultivation. He seems to want to see what a human/singer society could be like. (Could society have grown and developed this way.) He wonders at the Singers having to adapt to ancient fused culture instead of “cultivating” their own. And maybe his loss of rhythms is related to a boon/curse type thing?

This is a really crackpot theory, but I think that Dalinar will kill the Stormfather, either intentionally or accidentally. We know the SF is now playing his own game for the most part, plus, he has secrets. Plus, I don't think SF would let Dalinar take up Honor because it may reabsorb him and kill him. I think an SF betrayal could be a final act twist right before Dalinar reaches Honor.

This is unlikely but still within the realm of possibility: Moash hits absolute rock bottom this book, somehow getting worse than he was last book. This completes his five-book descent into villainy and sets up his five-book slow, agonizing redemption.

Hate this thought because his rock-bottom, to me, is killing Kaladin. First Elhokar, then Teft, then the final blow is killing Kaladin. What a HEEL moment that would be though lolol

My Crackpot Theories:

1. I like the theories that Jasnah is going to take up all three shards and become the Shard of Evil. I can't find the Reddit comment, but it says something along the lines of:

"I am, unfortunately, the Villain of Ages," -Jasnah, as she takes up all three shards and becomes the Evil shard.

Tbh if you told me that that's how the whole series ends and Jasnah becomes Wit's antagonist (or vice versa) for the Space Age Cosmere, I'd totally believe it. The fact they have a relationship right now seems destined to build tension for eventual opposition

2. I also think that young Shallan was trained as a Ghostblood (explaining why she remembers Seons, and why she's so good at sneaking and fighting despite her very limited training in those things.)

3. And new head canon: lots of birds sing to their babies and those songs affect their development, I think and hope singers do the same.

I love this theory so much. I think the stormfather will somehow or another end up as odium's champion.

My brother thinks Adolin will swear all five Edgedancer oaths at once. No, he insists on it and won't listen to reason.

Our copy comes tmrw! :D

Very unlikely to happen… Adolin will find a way to get the lost shardblades back into the physical realm to better protect Azimir. (You know, through an oathgate that is corrupted/enlightened now so no problems there at all /s)  He’ll draw them to him because of his bond with Maya, then he’ll start teaching the people who get those shards how to build a relationship with them and possibly find a way to heal more deadeyes.

I was storming right! Kind of. Dang. I honestly didn’t expect that.

All 16 Shards are now accounted for. But it is an interesting theory, it would explain how it was able to defeat 2 shards on Sel.

The book did answer that, he somehow pitted them against each other, and killed whoever won.
