Sythrin Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Like it is one of their most noticable trait to breath fire? If yes, then how exactly? Maybe they can reach into the spiritual realm and then spew out whatever they get Or do dragons maybe even have different kinds of breath? Like lightning, ice and poison gas. Or maybe even complete unique ones. Like healing, Pinetree needles or maybe even Rubber-duckies? This would so nice!

Spoiler LizBusby They were talking about, on the cosmere podcast, if cosmere dragons can breathe fire? Brandon Sanderson RAFO. They can fly. So they-- LizBusby Okay. That's good to know. I was just thinking, Frost like, doesn't sound very fiery to me. It sounds icy to me. Brandon Sanderson Mmhmm. *significant look* RAFO on that. You won't even find that in Dragonsteel, the old one, if you read it. It doesn't say. Skyward Seattle signing (Nov. 10, 2018) The only non-vessel dragon seen on-screen in canon so far is Xisis in Tress of the Emerald Sea - and that scene did not answer this question. Sorry. Hope that helps.
Quantus he/him Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 If I had to guess, and this is a 100% guess, Id think they'd have Investiture Breath, as in a gaseous form of pure Investiture like Breaths or Stormlight, that they could then presumably learn to shape in lots of creative ways on it's way out the face-door. Essentially, what Larkin Inhale, Dragons Exhale. I think, anyway.
Dofurion Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 (edited) My bet is that their breath spontaneously manifests Microkinesis. When they exhale on something, their axi would separate, something like a mix between Division and Cohesion but at medium distance. Edited October 29, 2024 by Dofurion
