Moash sided with Odium, the Oathgate spren sided with nobody. They don't want to side with either Honor or Odium, they chose freedom. They like Venli, Leshwi and Listeners trying to find their own way to freedom. Listeners were given guarantees of their freedom by Kaladin and Dalinar. What message would that send to them if Dalinar ordered Oathgate spren to be killed? What message would that send to other spren? Side with us or be destroyed? That’s the worse possible action they can take. 13 hours ago, Corgen said: As a counterargument, most of the spren generally dislike Sja-anat. They might be afraid of Sja-Anat, but Glys is showing that it is time to change that. 13 hours ago, Corgen said: In any case, I don’t think such actions are in line with the first ideal. I don't agree. Some orders wouldn't care, others would - the same situation like with Sadeas' assassination. 2

No need - if you want to make an Oathgate inoperable, it is sufficient to dismantle it's physical structure in the Physical. That's what the Fused intended to do with the one in Thaylenah in OB, once they saw that the battle was lost, only they didn't get enough time to do it. 2
