Arranis looks outside at the waning sun, its fingers still dappling the tips of the tree leaves. He sighs, What a wonderful time of day. He grumbles to himself however. Spending a whole day indoors, I am wasting away. He sits straighter in his chair, before heading out of the inn. Leaving some schlaff on the table. Enough to pay for the food he had been consuming.

He breaths in the fresh air of the outside world, and clicks his tongue, and his horse trots around the front of the building. "Hey boy" he murmurs, "Want to go hunting?" he slings himself into the saddle, and pulls an arrow out of his quiver, and laying it on the string of his bow, an unremarkable thing, but something that screamed danger. He sets off at a trot into the forest, looking at the ground to find tracks, when he sees his horses ears prick up. He stops him with a nudge, and listens. Voices. He dismounts quitely, giving his horse a predetermined signal to go and hide somewhere, and ghosts his way to the voices, his cloak blending him in with the environment.

Wit followed the hunter, curious not just if was good, but what he was trying to hunt. It was entertainment. Hunting was the excitement of life for a common man. For a trvaller, it was entertainment.

Arranis stalks towards the voices. His form blending into the surrounding environment, thanks to the camouflage like nature of his cloak.

Robert called Jolane over to the bar. “That’s enough for tonight. Don’t get overworked.”

She nodded, made her way to the stairs, and went into her room. Robert followed her up and locked the door.

"On his way down the stairs he tripped and fell and died oh no and jolane went free and had a happy life with her family and everyone else moved on and had wonderful lives of their own the end."

Pssh imagine though.

Wit continued following him. They were hearing voices. As he watched from a decent distance, he lost Aranis for a moment. That cloak was similar to Wits. A strange molten camouflage. But he saw him again. And stalked closer.

Yes, it is what I am basing my character off. Long bow, silver oakleaf, cloak. One of the best Australian books

Arranis stops. I didn't step on a twig did I?. He stands still, halfway through his step, frozen, his ears pricked for the slightest sound. Gorlogs beard, Is someone following me? He continues another step before making a small semi circle back to where he had been, tucked into the shadow of a tree. The voices forgotten

A very useful person ain’t he?

Wit silently saw Arranis stop and pick up, thankfully, he didn’t stare at Wit, his eyes passed over him. As soon as Arranis was heading off again, Wit climbed a tree. It wouldn’t help to be noticed, though it really wouldn’t be bad. At this point Wit almost took it as a challenge. He grew smug when he saw  Arranis looping back around, just next to where he had been. They never did look up. Wit was mostly confident that he would be fine, but still hide in the dark leaves with his cloak. There were still voices off in the distance, that he wanted to investigate as soon as he got down.

Very useful, you can evoke many of his body parts.

Arranis lay on the ground, a slightly uncomfortable position, with a rock digging into his stomach, but he endured it as it kept him awake. His eyes scan the trees, and the grass, flitting over Wit, not noticing him. He hunkers down further. Waiting, scanning.

Eventually, Wit looked away. He knew Arranis was laying down, and began to find amusement in the forest.  When he returned to look back for Arranis he was gone. Where did he go?

Arranis continued to scan the trees when he saw birds flying away from a certain tree. Something there hey? He looks closer with his peripheral vision and sees a mottled shape in the tree. He draws in a quick breath. Another Ranger? He stops himself from calling out or making and sudden movements, and he slowly stands up as they look distracted, and keeping an eye on them, moves towards the underside of the tree, pulling the arrow back on his bow as he does so. "You have an arrow pointed right at your back, and I don't miss!" he yells "Why are you following me?" he calls out

roy leaned back against the bar and sipped at a drink in his hand. he looked around the room taking note of everyone still there. he saw that Niamh was in the corner so he decided to wave at here. he walked towards her intending to offer a drink as thanks for her beautiful music. it was worthy of the court of the first singer after all. he stammered when he tried to speak and only mannaged a simple "h-h-hello. h-how are y-you?"

Sutter sleepily awoke. "My head hurts. Well, it doesn't matter anyway. Fun inn and all, but I ought to be going. Y'know, gotta see a witch's execution and the likes."

He looked around, vaguely remembering what had happened. He intentionally avoided getting anywhere near Roy as he made for the door.

July spent his time working and looking for Ma'tani. He still needed to tell her about the secret conversation he'd overheard.

@The Bookwyrm

He found her sitting in a corner of the tavern, polishing her flute.

"Find anything?" she asked.

Dang it. Wit Dropped lightly from the tree. "I am a friend. I thought you might be involved in these stage voices, with I was just now going to investigate. I should ask why you are here."

"I..." Niamh wasn't sure how to respond to that. "...Sure. And thank you?"

Arranis tracks him with the bow as he drops to the ground. He pulls out his own silver oakleaf, letting it rest on top of his cloak "Where did you learn those skills?" he says, "And why should I believe you?"

Does he have a oakleaf, or the double scabbard?

Roy smiled as he looked around for julene. His expression became a confused one. “Have you seen julene lately?” Roy asked Niamh after spending a few moments looking for her.
