I think you were here when Robtert died, so since then, we've gotten Jolane back to her family (*sniffle*), August killed September, an old "friend" or sorts who was hunting him and July. Niamh, Ma'tani, and a few others (don't remember anyone else lol) battle September's soldiers, who are now tied to a tree. And currently Niamh is trying to convince Arranis to not burn someone's field. Lol. Did I get everything?

Through the Living Hope Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Jolane and Naise entered their parents' house. Immediately, they saw the bandage on her neck and knew something had happened. Naise promised to explain, and she saw Jolane to bed. She pulled the blankets over her and returned to her parents and husband. Vedette sat next to Naise, and clasped both her hands around one of her daughter's. "Naise, what..." "There were soldiers near the inn. They seemed to be acquainted, and not friendly, with one of Jolane's traveling partners. It was mentioned that Jolane knew him, and he tried to get some kind of information from her. She didn't know anything, so he held her hostage so her other friends would stop fighting them. He pricked her neck just a little." "Oh, oh..." "She will be fine. But." "But what?" Sharian (her father) asked. "One of the people with the soldiers got away. He saw both me and Jolane with the man they were searching for, and they will likely return soon with more forces. We are going to spend the night as planned, but when Keryth and I leave at dawn, we're going to take Jolane with us." Sharian and Vedette stared. "What?" "You didn't consult me about this?" Keryth asked. "There was no time. I'm sorry." Keryth sighed and nodded. "Very well." "Wait! You can't just take her with you! We only just got her back!" "Mom. She won't be lost." None of the words that tried to escape Vedette's mouth succeeded. Sharian put a hand on her shoulder. "If it's the safest thing for Jolane..." Vedette closed her eyes. A few seconds later, she responded. "Very well."
Mags she/they Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 July watched Jolane go, looking somewhat dazed. "It'll be alright," August said, patting him on the shoulder. He'd come back by now, after finding a shovel somewhere. "You should go sleep while you can." "No . . . your injured, you need help." July finally said, coming out of his stupor. He gestured at Septembers body. August looked at him for a minute, judging whether that was a bad idea or not. "Alright . . . thank you." July nodded, he needed something simple to take his mind off the less then simple. ----- The two men asked around, and a villager directed them to the small plot of land they used to bury people. After a few hours of digging, they got her body down in the whole. They both stared down at her, taking a breather before they were to move the dirt back in. August had taken care to arrange her nice. Her hand was placed in a way that made it look almost like it'd never been sliced off. Her hands neatly folded in her lap, her hair brushed out of her face, her eyelids closed. "I . . . I miss her." July mumbled. "Yes . . . our September has been gone a long while already, hasn't she?"

Through the Living Hope Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Jolane's eyes cracked open. She'd spent the night between her mother and father in their bed, with both of them clamped tightly to her. Now, though, they'd both woken up. She rose from the bed and entered one of the house's two other rooms. Her mother, with her back to her, was making food, and it smelled absolutely phenomenal. A few dresses sat on a chair, newly made and, she guessed, fitted to her so she could have more than one spare set of clothes. Heavy footprints approached from behind her, and she turned around. Sharian wrapped his arms around her again. "Stay safe," he said. "Your mother and I... Don't make us lose you again." She hugged her father back. "I will." He pulled back, moving one arm so that his hand held her cheek. It was calloused and rough, but that didn't mean it felt bad necessarily. "I love you. So much." She smiled. "I love you too."

Magi @Through The Living Glass @RoyalBeeMage? @Who else is coming with us? @Spark of Hope [If you want to do some kind of goodbye or something] Niamh stumbled out of the woods, horse in tow. She had packed her things up and stowed them away on the horse's back. Her shoulder was freshly bandaged, and she was doing her best not to move it too much. She had not, however, brushed her hair. She tied her horse outside the inn, walked inside, and stumbled over to where Ma'tani was. She sat on the ground, leaning against the table. Quote Spoiler 2
Scars of Hathsin he/him Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 Arranis walks into the inn, a small metal mug of coffee held in his hand. Smelling extremely strong, and the bags under his eyes indicated he had a very bad sleep. He stumbles in and sees Niamh, with her hair a mess. 'Who is this" he says waving a hand at her, directing his question at the others in his group.

Magi @Through The Living Glass @RoyalBeeMage? @Who else is coming with us? @Spark of Hope [If you want to do some kind of goodbye or something] A few minutes after dawn, August and July entered the inn and joined her at her table. They both were covered in a layer of dust, and it was clear they'd spent all night digging and hadn't slept. "I'll have to buy a change of clothes . . ." August mumbled to himself as he lay his head on the table. July at least, looked functional, but August was clearly exhausted. A vigorous duel, constant worrying, and no sleep was hard even on him. "It's a good thing we're riding there and not walking," July said, putting a hand on his shoulder.
