Roy watched nalan and acted fast grabbing his necklace and putting it around ma’tani before muttering a few words.

The rest of the witch hunters had mixed responses. Three drew their weapons and rushed at Arke and Ma'tani, clubs and shortswords, really. The rest fled. One just stood there, staring at Nelan's corpse in shock. Rye tucked the gun back into his coat, whistling softly. This is all my fault...

Ma'tani dashed away from Roy and towards the third witch-hunter. With a deft stroke, she split the wooden club in half, then rammed him in the back of the head with her sword's pommel to knock him out.

August drew the long sword Arke had found for him, and rushed at the three that were still fighting. Hopefully, this would be over quickly.
