Edgedancer he/him Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I'm about to go to bed but I'll post her full power bio tomorrow if you want? I have like a page on each of my main characters That would be nice, thank you.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Yeah, trying to pin down definitions of a High Epic seems troublesome, I imagine it has something to do with the classing system Tia uses. I wonder if someone can get Brandon to define what classifies an Epic as a High Epic? Didn´t Tia say she prefers another sytem entierly, one that is based on tiers? Yes, but that was never explained. I think High Epics would still be one of her terms though. It would just be one who had reached a certain tier. I think High Epic is universal.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 Don't most High Epics live in Denver? (I AM SO SORRY) 3
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Don't most High Epics live in Denver? (I AM SO SORRY) I don't get it... Well, I tweeted Peter and Brandon, and Peter replied with, "You may find some helpful answers in FIREFIGHT." So it looks like we'll have to wait for that as well. 1

Tulir he/him Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I dreamed about this RP last night. It was... odd. My recollections are hazy, but I remember emphatically that Sightline went insane and murdered literally everyone in Oregon. When this was completed, all the players decided to launch "What Happened in Hawaii." The most disturbing element of the dream is that all of this happened while I was offline, filling the dream with a sense of confusion as I tried to figure out what had just happened. Clearly I am spending too much time thinking about this RP. Hawaii is currently ruled by a coalition of High Epics utilizing the volcano, so fighting them for control of the island would be awesome No, this is cannon. I definitely didn't just make this up. Pir2h, if you could edit out the reply to Mail-mi's post that would be great, it disrupts the flow a little bit. 4

Not sure if you're referring to an interview I haven't seen or are espousing your own fanon... but either way, that's an incredible concept.
Tulir he/him Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Thinking about it, I will actually make that apart of the world. Completely irrelevant if this RP ever heads to Hawaii, but Hawaii will exist.

Reader is emotional; Autumn is rational. He snaps; she pauses. He seems to get a kick out of ordering executions; she does everything she can to prevent them. He has a hair-trigger temper; she tries to control hers. Her job is undoing the damage he causes. Entirely without realizing it, I set up a perfect Foe Yay ship. Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) A RAFO. Of course you got a RAFO. -.- Google "Denver legalization." Brandon himself tweeted back and said it is where you have to negate the Epics power somehow to kill them. I tweeted back asking how that differed from a prime invincibility though. It sounds the same to me. Hahaha I get it now. XD I didn't think of the double meaning there. Oh and that Hawaii idea is awesome! Edited October 23, 2014 by Mailliw73

Oh and that Hawaii idea is awesome! It does sound very similar. It makes me wonder how exactly they brought down Fortuity, since he was classified as a High Epic, but his precognition was only negated for a short time before he was checkmated.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I wonder if he switched the two unintentionally or something. It happened with my question in the Goodreads Q&A as well.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 23, 2014 Author Posted October 23, 2014 Maybe. Or maybe checkmaking counts as negation? I could see that working.
Mailliw73 he/him Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 True. Which may be how High Epics differ from Prime Invincibilities. High Epics there is a way to kill without their weakness, but still having to negate their powers.
Tulir he/him Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Is that canon? Because it is storming awesome. I will work on it. By Sunday, I'll have something somewhat worthwhile with Hawaii. 1

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 23, 2014 Author Posted October 23, 2014 A ReaderGlass ship? O.o?? To be honest, they'd be a terrible couple. The only worse couple might be Nighthound/Funtimes (or Nighthound/anyone). But....yeah. It has all the ingredients for a Foe Yay ship.
Kobold King he/him Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I will work on it. By Sunday, I'll have something somewhat worthwhile with Hawaii. "What Happened in Hawaii" is happening. My dream is coming to life before my eyes. Please tell me Sightline won't be joining the Wacko side of Calamity any time soon. To be honest, they'd be a terrible couple. The only worse couple might be Nighthound/Funtimes (or Nighthound/anyone). But....yeah. It has all the ingredients for a Foe Yay ship. They would be an awful couple. Just plain awful. By which I mean you should hint at it as often as possible. 1

mail-mi he/him Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 mail-mi? Any chance Reader's repeated attempts to make Autumn angry were Belligerent Sexual Tension coming to the fore? I haven't decided quite how Reader feels towards autumn yet, whether he hates her or just doesn't care about her. But maybe he does care about her Really down deep
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 23, 2014 Author Posted October 23, 2014 I haven't decided quite how Reader feels towards autumn yet, whether he hates her or just doesn't care about her. But maybe he does care about her Really down deep So deep down he blackmails and insults her until the fateful, rainy day he finally says the words... "I love you, Autumn. I've always loved you, and I always will." ...to which Autumn says, "Seriously? Well, I kind of hate you, you slontze." 5
mail-mi he/him Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 So deep down he blackmails and insults her until the fateful, rainy day he finally says the words... "I love you, Autumn. I've always loved you, and I always will." ...to which Autumn says, "Seriously? Well, I kind of hate you, you slontze." Reader got that a lot. Most of the time, he didn't care. He usually laughed it off. But this time, it hurt. It stung. It made Reader want to punch her in the face and cry into her shoulder at the same time. And, unfortunately, he knew it was true. He'd always known. But that didn't mean it didn't hurt to hear her say it out loud. Keeping that all inside, Reader nodded stiffly. "Well, good. I was hoping you'd say that. I was just, ah, seeing how you would react. I knew you'd say that, by the way." 6
