Voidus Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 If any soldiers were listening in wouldn't they basically shoot Reader to death right about now? 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) mail-mi, that last Reader post deserves ALL the upvotes. ALL OF THEM I won't spoil it for the rest of you. Read all the way to the last line. Edit: They don't care about non-allied Epics, do they? And I thought the soldiers closest were distracted by the twins' interrogation. So if Reader wants to inflict some mental agony on Backtrack....would they really care all that much? Edited October 22, 2014 by TwiLyghtSansSparkles 4

Kobold King he/him Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Reader put on his most genuine smile--an evil one. And this year's Nobel Slontze Prize goes to Reader from The Dalles, for pushing the limits of trolling further than anyone else before him. (I echo TwiLyght's sentiments. ) If any soldiers were listening in wouldn't they basically shoot Reader to death right about now? I thought of that too, but they're probably used to Reader saying weird things in that room. It would certainly make them despise him more, since a lot of the soldiers probably lost friends and family to Koschei, but they wouldn't kill him over it. It would only add to the long list of slontzey things Reader does. 3

mail-mi he/him Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 So when Autumn learns why Backtrack is almost crying on his way to the doctor, if she offered him a hug, would he accept? Considering he thinks she's taking him to Koschei himself... I'll let Kobold answer
mail-mi he/him Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Double post but...new Mommy post! Let the shipping begin! Also, Voidus, I hope I wrote Sidestep okay, I pictured him as a shy guy that would just step into his own dimension and run if things got too awkward or dangerous. 1

Also, Voidus, I hope I wrote Sidestep okay, I pictured him as a shy guy that would just step into his own dimension and run if things got too awkward or dangerous. I like other people writting my characters, it's always interesting to see other people's interpretations and I liked this one.
Kobold King he/him Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 So when Autumn learns why Backtrack is almost crying on his way to the doctor, if she offered him a hug, would he accept? He'll try to keep a tough face around her, but he might hug Vondra when he hears the good news from him. Remington may also be at high risk of hugging next time they're in the same room. As a general rule Lightwards doesn't take children as Warriors. I'm afraid to say this isn't because of a shred of human decency, and is simply because children are smaller and weaker than adults. If he had the ability to create unlimited numbers of Warriors however, there'd be quite a few kids among their ranks.

Voidus Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I suspect I may have to engineer an escape plan for the twins after MVs latest outburst :/ damnation characters not doing what their writer wants 3
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 I suspect I may have to engineer an escape plan for the twins after MVs latest outburst :/ damnation characters not doing what their writer wants I know what you mean. A few pages ago, I wanted Funtimes to giggle and threaten Lightwards for punching Nathan. Instead, we got full-on dark!Funtmes. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I suspect I may have to engineer an escape plan for the twins after MVs latest outburst :/ damnation characters not doing what their writer wants I know, right? Lightwards was supposed to be a kind and cuddly man who'd spend all his time handing out spam to homeless people, but his characterization completely got away from me. (I guess this all just comes from us writing without any solid outlines.) Unrelated, but out of curiosity and boredom I've started compiling a list of every confirmed death associated with one of the RP's characters. Essentially trying to weigh how large of a kill count we can pin on each of our Epic and human characters. So far I'm on Page 3, and I have scarcely any numbers to show for it. I've pinned two confirmed Epic deaths to Sightline's name, but Altermind and Scorch--said to be some of the worst Epics in town--have thus far spent all of their time pranking one another and haven't caused any fatalities at all. I'm going to savor this peaceful period of the RP before I get to Nighthound. 3
Voidus Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 If Lightwards survives Oregons destruction can we please have him die enough times that he eventually loses all sanity and starts dispensing Spam to the few remaining trees? Penumbra wracked up a few dozen in his brief appearance but they were mostly off-screen and they're pretty late in the RP, other than that PP only took out a couple of Epics along the way, Soulswitch may have killed a few working for Koschei but after that he prefers flying under the radar. Well we'll all make up for it during the Corpsemaker war I'm sure. 1

Well we'll all make up for it during the Corpsemaker war I'm sure. You know, if I didn't already have a plan for Lightwards' final demise on the books, I'd actually look into that. That could be a very fitting end to Lightwards--reduced to a faintly giggling man sitting in the ash of Oregon, arranging tiny scraps of rubble into miniature cities and cackling about his Empire of Light. I'm only counting on-screen deaths. It's implied that Altermind and CorpseMaker have total killcounts that might reach into the hundreds, but they are not shown and no details are elaborated upon. 2

Altermind does try to act the part of benevolent leader, but no ones buys it. He wouldn't brag about his kills though. And, just so we're clear, the bird who dropped its waste onto Refill was a regular bird, not one of Chi's. he has more control over them than to let them poo on potential customers. If he was the trolling type though, storms that'd be fun. Edited October 22, 2014 by Mailliw73
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Oh don't worry, CorpseMaker's on screen Kill count will Rocket soon. And those kills will be as public as possible.

Altermind does try to act the part of benevolent leader, but no ones buys it. He wouldn't brag about his kills though. That's about what I figured. Oh don't worry, CorpseMaker's on screen Kill count will Rocket soon. And those kills will be as public as possible. None of you can make it easy for the poor census worker, can you? Nighthound threw my count off in his first post. Do you know what the first thing he did upon entering Portland was? HE MURDERED AN ENTIRE CROWD OF PEOPLE. I've got him put down for a rough thirty-five fatalities at the moment, and I know as a fact his kill count only goes up later on. 3
Tulir he/him Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I found something Backtrack can be grateful for! He can be glad his name is Steven and not what Glamour's is. You'll find that out when I post the next Edgerunner post. It's too bad for Glamour that he chose to work for someone who has his Epics called by their real names. Also, Kobold and I decided that Edgerunner and Glamour are going to be heading to the command post that Quicksilver attacked instead of he outpost. That makes more sense to me, seeing as the Outpost was a diversion. Have we named that command post yet? And Reader's slontziness grows... That was a great post. Reader does a great job of messing with peoples minds I suspect I may have to engineer an escape plan for the twins after MVs latest outburst :/ damnation characters not doing what their writer wants Maybe Glass could step in and defuse the situation, because Steven was already in a bad mood and almost Hydron before entering that room, and being spoken to by lesser Epics like that will undoubtedly make him angry. Autumn Glass, who was not angry, to the rescue?
Voidus Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I don't know that I'd class the twins as lesser Epics, particularly when they're together. But yes, perhaps some timely intervention from everyones favourite not-an-Epic would be good
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 In case you forget to check the Chatbox Mail-mi, To post a Status Update, you click on your username at the top of the page, and a Text bar asking "What's on your mind?" Pops up. You type it in there, and hit enter. To comment on somebody else's status, go to their profile and click the status at the top of their page. So is the time skip officially in efffect?

I've got him put down for a rough thirty-five fatalities at the moment, and I know as a fact his kill count only goes up later on. I just realized that I think Flashpoint has the most on-screen kills in that toy soldier battle. None of my other Epics have really killed anyone yet. That makes more sense to me, seeing as the Outpost was a diversion. Have we named that command post yet? Kobold and I were thinking of naming the outposts by the Greek alphabet and the command posts by the military call signs. What do you think? Do you have any other ideas? If we go with the military option, it'll be a Command Post Tango.

Though if Reader believes that they're likely to cause further trouble for the town if set loose, then the option to leave will be taken from them.
