fyodor
I think that at least six of these "useless superpowers" appear in Mistborn.... http://i.imgur.com/q5phJ.jpg
PeterAhlstrom
At least 1 each in Way of Kings and Warbreaker.
master
the only problem is that allot of these superpowers in the series are a lot more usefull. ferromancy [sp?] may allow you to attract bad luck, but you can use the stored good luck when you need it. Zas678
I just want to say that this is fantastic. I love it. Plus Desaturation? That's totally Nightblood! And Summon a Lamp Once? We sort of see that in Way of Kings. But I still love how many of these could be done with Brandon's magic systems.
fyodor
I just want to say that this is fantastic. I love it. Plus Desaturation? That's totally Nightblood! And Summon a Lamp Once? We sort of see that in Way of Kings. But I still love how many of these could be done with Brandon's magic systems. Actually, the lamp thing made me think of awakening (i.e. general control of random household items). Mistborn Powers 75 percent levitation (filling an ironmind) Attract bullets (burning iron) Super slow motion (filling a steelmind, burning cadmium) 1 second superstrength (tapping a pewtermind) Accelerated aging (filling an atiummind) Attract bad luck (filling chromiummind) Warbreaker Summon lamps (awakening) Desaturation (nightblood side effect). name_here
1 second superstrength is also Duranium Enhanced Pewter.
Triasmus
Mistborn: Desaturation (filling bendalloy with water [i'm pretty sure that's allowed. . . minus the "actually" storing water ])
Commander Spoonface
Does Wayne's Wayness count as Seducing Hats? How else could he wear so many?

Quantum Toast
I guess if Shallan can talk to a gobletspren, she can talk to fruitspren...
Sunblesser
I guess if Shallan can talk to a gobletspren, she can talk to fruitspren... fruitspren would be much more talky than gobletspren i think... more complex, more present in shadesmar
Arcanist Lupus
Some of these show up in multiple magic systems. Szeth 50% levitated himself, and so did Wax. Bullet attraction for Lurchers and Kaladin. Super slowmo: both Feruchemists and Pulsars.
lil_literalist
"Turn into a laptop forever" can be seen in an early revision of Mythwalker. There's some strange little blue animals that do that. It's non-canon and all (doubly so, since it was written out), but it was once on Brandon's mind! Odium's_Shard
When I thought Warbreaker, I didn't think 'ah, lamp!', I was more interested in reviving poor arachnids and sephelopods.
