Jenny dug through her pack. She briefly stopped when she saw a dog toy. It had a strange metal shell wrapped around it. When her fingers brushed against it, a familiar voice spoke in her mind.

You need to leave this place, Jenny. It’s not right here.

Something told her she could trust it. She nodded, then located the water bottle. Closing her pack, she handed the water to the girl with the shaky voice.

”Here. Also, we really need to leave.”

Jenny was a bit worried that the guy would crash into one of the many casino-goers milling about. It was strange how everything kept urgently telling her to leave this place when it seemed fine. Safe, even. She looked over her shoulder for a moment, then sighed and followed the boy. It felt like she was leaving something behind.

jace managed to expertly avoid everyone and everything right up until he got to the doors which he opened and walked outside. it was the middle of the night.

Aaron kept playing, racing from game to game, playing, a swarm of people following him. Minecraft, to Forza, to Hogwarts. To things such as indoor skydiving, water sliding, and others. He was having the time of his life

Jenny stepped outside of the casino, and everything came rushing back to her. She remembered who she was, why she was there. She also heard yelling from inside. It sounded like Aaron. She rushed back inside, seeing Jace trying to pull him away. Forcing herself not to look at any of the games, she ran over.

”Aaron, we really need you to leave with us! Please!”

Jenny nodded, not taking her eyes off of Aaron in case he tried to bolt.

”Thanks for getting me out of there. This place messes with your mind.”

She emphasized that last part, directing her words to Aaron. The kid was already prone to not listening, so this was going to be difficult.
