“It’s ok,” he said, dabbing at the cuts with his sleeve. “I’m fine, are you?” The cuts stung, but he hid the pain.

“I’m ok. I don’t know what that was.”

She carefully sat up, her vision going red for a moment from vertigo. Jenny tried her best to fix her hairdo, but it was getting pretty squished.

When Harold turned the corner, he stopped in his tracks. "Who are those two?" Harold says, drawing his bow.

Harold would know who Lucid is since we’re just pretending he’s been here the whole time.

Jenny gestured at Terrence.

”This is Terrence, he’s another half-blood. Terrence, this is Harold.”

Hopefully Terrence would actually say something instead of just standing there suspiciously.

Got it

"Oh. Okay. Nice to meet you, Terrence." Harold says, putting away his bow and walking over. "I'm Harold. I went to find transportation. Which by the way, we found a city about 5 miles from here."

Edgar wrapped an arm around her, holding her close, his worry getting the better of him for a moment. “I’m glad you’re ok. Really glad.”

Jenny wanted to tell Ed that there was nothing to worry about, that she’d be ok. But she didn’t want to lie to him. There was something wrong that seemed to be getting worse, and she had no idea how to fix it. She was scared.

He leaned his head against her, trying to hold back tears. That had been scary. Really scary. It still was, this wasn’t something natural. What if it came back?

Jenny wanted to apologize again, but she’d been trying to get Ed to stop apologizing so much. She didn’t want to contradict herself. Instead, she just leaned against him, not letting go of his hand.

Everything was becoming so dangerous, so uncertain. She needed to tell him before it was too late. Not now, but soon. If Jenny died, she’d spend her first few decades in the afterlife kicking herself for not admitting what she felt.

Lucid stands back up and walks over to Harold, closing his book and putting it in his pocket.

Terrance just nodded absently, still holding his weapon and seeming wary.

He sat there for a long time. No words needed to be said in his opinion, he just needed her.

Aaron called up a small wave of his power, depleting the already depleted supply. Who knew I would need so much. He sends it into the ground, blooming flowers that would help heal, and sending them towards Jenny, still staying hidden of course, to make it look like he was still sulking.

Jenny suddenly felt the pain in her side lessen. She perked up and looked around for the cause. Flowers had appeared next to her. She smiled. That must’ve been Aaron’s doing. Maybe he felt bad for annoying her. Jenny couldn’t see where he was, but he had to be nearby somewhere, so she called out in no particular direction.

”Thanks Aaron!”

She knew that Aaron had been overextending himself lately, so hopefully using his powers didn’t cost too much on his part.

Aaron shifted uncomfortably under the praise, making his bush shake somewhat. "Your welcome" he muttered quietly under his breath

Jenny covered a smile at seeing the bush shake. Aaron hiding in the bushes and trying to secretly heal her was pretty adorable. She felt some of her frustration about him fade away. He did seem to genuinely be making an effort to help people. He couldn’t help the fact that he was twelve years old and, thus, naturally annoying.

Roy walked over to where Aaron was hiding and sat down out of sight of the outhers. “We need to talk!”

“Maybe they aren’t working together, or at least not as much as we thought. It seems like Roy might want to though,” Edgar whispered to Jenny.

Jenny nodded.

”I think Aaron’s not trying to do anything malicious. He seems like a good kid, but he’s just… well, a kid.”

She stood up and stretched, thrilled that she could finally do that without irritating her side. It still ached, but she didn’t feel like she was going to rip the wound back open anymore. She poked her side again and found that it caused a dull pain rather than a sharp pain this time.

I’m not sure if that would impact Wierdo’s character since he’s an Athena kid. I’m also not sure if our characters are equipped to handle a threat on that scale, although it could give me an excuse to overpower Jenny a lil bit :P

Jenny glanced over at Terrence, who was still holding his weapon. He always seemed to be preparing for someone to try and stab him in the back. Maybe he’d been betrayed before.

”I hope Terrence can get over his anxiety about us soon. It must be exhausting to live like that.”

She grabbed Ed’s hand again, unable to banish that lingering uneasiness that something bad was going to happen to her.

“I think I can. Whatever Aaron did turned the wound from debilitating into annoying. The walk is certainly not going to be fun, though.”

Jenny gave a wry laugh.

”I’ll just pretend I’ve got a giant stitch in my side.”
