Jenny offered her arm for Ed to lean on, then glanced over at the girl.

”Ah, shoot. I forgot to ask Lucid what her name was.”

She looked back to Ed and noticed that his legs were shaking. She whispered to him.

”Do you want me to carry you over to the plant ball thing?”

“Are you sure she’s a demigod? And yeah…probably.” He wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

“I tried to tap her with Sword, and it didn’t pass through her. I think she might be your sister, actually! She’s crazy good at wood carving, like you are.”

Jenny carefully picked Ed up and brought him over to the plant ball. She set him down on a bench, then sat next to him. She wrapped an arm around him so she could subtly help support him with sitting up without embarrassing him.

 He really, really didn’t want her to be his sister. Then Jenny would really see how bad he was compared to his siblings. She was probably better at carving than him.

She hadn’t considered that. She eyed the girl, now incredibly suspicious of her. Best to keep a close eye on her for now, however. If she did happen to be a monster, it would be better to know where she was so she couldn’t ambush them. Jenny moved slightly so that she was blocking Ed from the girl with her body a bit more.

Jenny handed Timothy to Ed, a bit reluctant to give him up. He could be trusted, though, having made the toy in the first place.

”His name is Timothy. And thanks for making him!”

 Gift flowed onto the toy, molding to make it look much more like a dog. It moved smoother as well.

Jenny gasped softly in amazement. She gently patted Timothy on the head.

”This is one of the best things I’ve ever seen.”

She said this with complete sincerity. It was unfortunate that the dog couldn’t look like this forever, but she was more than happy with his cruder form.

Jenny waved cheerfully. Best to treat the girl kindly in case she wasn’t a monster. Jenny knew what it was like to be accused of being a monster.

Jenny kept Timothy in her lap, not wanting to put him in his spot just yet. She hesitated for a moment, then pulled out her gem.

”I, um, need to tell you something. Please don’t freak out.”
