I would like to announce that I just gave my little brother a copy of Elantris to read. Its his first Sanderson so I'm hoping he'll like it. He's on the younger side of things, but he's a good reader so I think he'll be all right. He also has me to endlessly delve into the mechanics of magic systems when he asks a simple question, so that's good and bad

Elantris is good since its undoubtedly the most PG of Brandon's books so I don't have to feel ashamed for handing him something inappropriate. He was who I talked to about the Cosmere before I found this site, so when he gets a little older you can expect a completely indoctrinated Sharder joining up.

Yeah, if you want to embed a video, you need to trim out all but the "v=(various Random stuff here)" after "watch?", because the "v=" is always the unique key to the video.

I assume this is because the embed feature is searching for the common variable within the URL in a specific location, rather than just finding it anywhere in the URL (they could just look for either "watch?v=" or "&v=" and solve this issue)

Oh, I would also like to announce that this happened to me yesterday. (Copied from my facebook.)

The guy in the Starbucks drive-thru started talking to me in a British accent, so I did one too and freaked him out. When I pulled up to the window, like three of the baristas came over and asked where I was from. I shrugged and said "Oh, just around here" in my normal voice. They all laughed and the guy who took my order looked so relieved that I wasn't actually British. He thought he'd offended me!

Ha! It was awesome. He was so embarassed!
