Oh, thank goodness she's okay. Aventine moved between the three outer Inquisitors and made her way into the cell, making sure not to let Jar Man touch them.

As soon as she stepped between them, they turned on her, staring through their metal eyes.

Just now, The Aspiring Archivist said:

"Yes. I... I managed to get to you using my magic, though it... wasn't easy."

Rue nodded slowly. “Thank you,” she whispered, and then went limp again.

"Rue?" He held her up. "Please, stay with me here. We need to figure out what to do. Elariel wants to go to other worlds, and he wants us to 'guide' him. I'm worried about all this..."

One of the inquisitors swung a long wooden pole at her.

Rue didn’t answer. In his mind, TAAron heard a faint voice. I can’t…they did something to me, to my magic…I’m sorry. You shouldn’t have come.

The veil wore off Aventine and Jar Man and they crashed into the cell wall. Aventine's head hit the wall, and her scalp began to bleed.

She was aware of the approach, but she was too injured to make any moves against him.

What is the nature of the thing that's impacting her magic and making her keep falling unconscious?

She saw his glow and tried to protest, but she was in too much pain to even speak. She hissed in pain.

Pic, being distracted, only just now jumped through the portal, making much noise. Considering it was also where the note of Preservation was coming from, he was drawn there.

With all of the noises, all of the inquisitors tuned toward Pic. He hesitated, then had a set, determined face. His hum turned into a choir, and he seemed to grow in stature, though he did not change in size. He made the inquisitors shy back, but then they al advanced on him. Pic wove between them like a dancer in a waltz, giving the rest of the group an opportunity.

It was in a mere second that Melody immediately resolved her issue.

She lunges forward, stabbing the voice's owner. "You said you know where TAAron and Rue are. Answer."

The man spat out a chuckle, which only made her more infuriated.

"I can still kill you," she threatened.

The guy laughed even more. "Killing me will only make things worse. You think I'll tell you where your friends are? You think I will-"

His line was cut off as Melody plunged her glass dagger into the heart of the guy, leaving him dead, slumped over a chair with a wound in his chest.

The rest of the members of his gang or crew stared at her.

"Where are they." Melody demanded.

"Uhm... Only he knew, but apparently it relates to a lord called Elariel."

"Lord Elariel?"

"Yes... Apparently he has some sort of advantage over others. Master Reislek was quite interested in him."

"I see."

Melody decided not to use her powers, as her head was still spinning.

She walked out of the Skaa rebels' hideout, and onto the streets of Luthendel, streaking towards where she knew Rue and the others would be.

Hopefully they were still alive by then.

Well, the issue is that I don't know if something TAAron might do could help...

I honestly have no idea what to do

Just try things! Mess around! Tell me what you’re intending to do and I’ll tell you if it works, rp isn’t about knowing that everything you do will end up working

In a desperate attempt, TAAron grabbed Rue's hand and tried to move some of his magical energy into her. He couldn't fuel her abilities, or directly fend off whatever was being done to her, but maybe he could isolate her soul from the effects.
