I guess it makes sense that he wouldn't answer Vena, but just making sure you saw my last post. Also, she's standing right in front of the things, and I don't know if he knows that she's effectively invincible.

Elan 2 holds out a hand and two knives made of ice form in them. He throws one at the first of the serpents, acting as if the conversation he just had never happened.

As the snake stabbed the shield, the knives streaked back to Rallohir, hovering around him and Vena in a spinning vortex ball of flashing blades

Calev watched in horror as Elan 1 was devoured.

Damn...what am I supposed to do here, if they're invulnerable to physical weapons?

He started draining his Starlight, strength and energy driving away the cold. He felt strong, alert.

But what can I do?

Thinking of nothing else, he summoned a rifle and fired a series of powerful shots through the heads of several of the serpents.

You'd better not ignore me this time.

The serpents still didn't care. The ice that chipped away was slowly replaced with new ice and Lilyana whimpered some more.

In panic, Vena grabbed hold of her magic, fighting the instinct telling her to let it happen as it may. I can choose now. As the serpents crashed down upon her, a single word formed that was cast into their minds. BEGONE.

A flash of blue light, brighter than the sun, illuminated the area. It tore through the serpents, inspiring terror and action. They fled immediately. Vena vanished.
