 He wasn’t sure. But he knew he had to go with her or something awful would happen to her. “I’m coming with you.”

 What was he asking? Why that? She wasn’t doing anything to him… or was she? He didn’t need her, right? It was the other way around, it had to be.

They ran past a scene crowded with officials and passers by. It was where the two identical bodies of the strange man lay dead on the street.
