Ezrium ran right behind Red, hoping to save Cassian so no one else would die.

I will win this. For Sage.

Sacrifice? I was going to die anyways. I just made it sound cool, I hope.

Ninddle summons his hammer again and looks around. It seems like all the other tributes were just sitting there and watching. Shouldn’t they be doing something?

Amyra stood there, with her hands on her sword, watching Ninddle.

Well, aren't you gonna do something? Aerielle asked.
Oh, you shut up.
Last time I did that, you grew worried,
 Aerie said sarcastically.
You know you're sentimental at heart, Amyra laughed in her mind.
Since when am I the sentimental one? You couldn't even kill the child properly!
It was a plan,
 Amyra reminded her spren.
A terribly executed one, Aerie rolled her eyes.
When was the last time you came up with something?
The last time I saved your life, you mean?

Amyra was going to retaliate, but she bit back her tongue, realizing Aerie was right.

Maybe I should start listening to you more, Amyra replied.
What?! You've officially gone insane. Why would you listen to me?
Yeah, you're right, that's actually not a good plan.

I'm always right.
Right.
Right.
But I shouldn't listen to you?
You should. But you shouldn't admit it.

I'm confused.
Well, obviously, because-- Well, you just don't get it. You're not making sense, Amyra.
Did you expect me to?
Amyra said, deciding to let this go.
Fair point, Aerie agreed.

Amyra smiled, knowing she would've won the argument, and returned her focus to Ninddle.

"ok, so where were we, mrs Essence?"

The midnight essence got destroyed or something by Cassying singing "You are my sunshine"

Ninddle also focuses on Amyra. She was good. however he was more concerned by the identical figures in shardplate sitting around. "Maybe we should put our duel on hold to deal with Bob, and then we can finish this?" @Lotus Blossom @Ravenclawjedi42

Cassying is a new word to my vocabulary.

and yes. Cassian somewhat tamed it.  He game him a petal of a sunflower and sang to it and it left.

Amyra slowly nodded.

"Alright," she glanced at Bob, who was far enough away.

Ezrium sadly looked at the limp body of his companion. He shed a single tear. It was his only friend. Now they were all dead. Sage didn't deserve to die. Ezrium knew that Sage should have lived.

I shouldn't have lived this long. I could have prevented his death.

No you could not. Stop blaming yourself for everything.

Ezrium knew he had to protect Cassian, because Cassian had something that Ezrium did not: a purpose to win the games. Cassian had family and friends waiting back home for him. Ezrium couldn't fail Cassian like he did Sage. He couldn't let Cassian be a failure like himself.
