Elan drops the boy and kicks him. "YOU... I HATE YOU!" His face is crazed at this point. He looks around the room, at all the people. "I HATE YOU ALL!"

He shoots the taser at Anansi over and over, eyes mad. 

"Eddie," he says quietly. "It is time. We're throwing him in."

Cassian is still sobbing, limping as he is kicked away, watching Anansi get tased over and over. 

Anansi falls on his face into the paint, hardly breathing, wheezing with pain. He can hardly form words, begging. 

"P-le- *jolt* ta-take *scream* me i-ins-ste- *painful cry* -" He screams in pain, crying profusely, his vision blurring.

"I c-can't loose all I h-have l-left-" He falls mostly unconscious in the puddle of paint. A colorful crime scene.

“Yes,” Eddie agrees. “It is.” She picks up Cassian and looks into his eyes. “Cassy?” She says softly. “I hope you die.” She slaps him across the face and starts to drag him toward an airship.

Elan walks towards the control board and slams on the emergency shut off. The movement in the arena stops. Then he walks over to the unconscious Anansi. "He will die." Elan hisses in his ear. Then he waves in some guards. They forcefully grab Anansi, and drag him off.

Cassian is still covered in paint and sobbing his eyes out. He scream, holding out his arms as he gets dragged away. 

"DADDY PLEASE- D-DADDY PLEASE- HELP ME-" But his cries meet ears that will not hear. Not a single person does something and Anansi has fallen unconscious. Nobody will save him now, nobody except his worthless paint covered unconscious father, and even then his attempts are useless. 

"DADDY PLEASE DON'T LET THEM-" He lets out one final cry. "DADDY YOU PROMISED!"

“Your daddy promises a lot of people a lot of things,” Eddie says, shoving Cassy into the airship. “Now shut up, brat.”

He curls up hugging his knees, balling like a little child. Salty tears stream down his face. 

"Daddy..." 

The door of the airship closes and it starts to fly, he limply slams himself at the door, looking out the window at Eddie. He trusted them. He loved them..... but love can be abused and these were nothing but hateful people. 

"I HATE YOU ALL!" He screams banging his fists against the airship window. He can finally see it now. He can finally see why Eddie and Elan have such bitterness for the world. When the little joy you had is taken away your left with nothing but hatred. Horrible horrible hatred. And he hated every single last one of them for what they have done, and he will NEVER forgive them.

ryn's spirit tortures the kid, making him think he's home then bringing him back to the cold reality. he enjoys it with gusto.

His face is covered in tears and for the first time in his life he is no longer sheltered. He has to be strong. 

"I would rather die than be called yours." 

The airship hovers for a moment, letting the two make eye contact for a minute before flying off towards the arena. Cassian slumps against the side of the airship and starts sobbing into his hands. He's all alone now.

Elan sat quietly next to the paint and the control board. He hated the universe. He hated everyone. People were meaningless, messed up, failures. Technology was all Elan had hope for in the universe.

And that STUPID WHINY OVERLY HAPPY CHILD HAD RUINED IT ALL.

The airship arrives. Eddie puts Cassy into a tube that transports him down, into the arena, near the perpendicularity. “Sorry, Red,” she murmurs.

Then she flips on a mic and calls to the entire arena. “Tributes! You want your revenge? Now’s the time. The son of the head gamemaker is at the perpendicularity. End him.”

Cassian scrambles, he is easy to spot since he is covered in lots of colorful paint. He has tear stains on his face, washing some of the paint down. He quickly looks around. This is when he realizes he wasn't just being thrown in some cell.... and the board he found earlier wasn't a video game. This was real. And he was really really scared. He tries to tune out the voices in his head as he absolutely bolts to find someone, someone, anyone who would help him. 

Fen... Aymra Ay... There must be someone left to help me.

Ezrium saw an airship go by. He heard the announcement and looked towards the perpendicularity. He knew it would be best not to involve himself with the child.
