Xi gobbled them up. When he was stabbed, she got very, very angry. She shot the organizer with very hot fire. A tiny pink flame started on Ezrium’s wound. It seemed to be healing him.

Xi felt Ezrium's thanks, though she was unsure how, as he was still unconscious. It seemed his consciousness was giving her a hug somehow.

Xi…was crying. She wasn’t sure how, or why, or even what crying was. But she was doing it. The pink flame got bigger. So did the one burning the organizer.

Ezrium woke up and gave her a hug, even though she was a shade. It happened because anything could happen, even though she was a shade.
