Bob feels almost certain that this wound will kill him. He pours the last few drops of water on his wound. Surely there’s something else he can do. He lights a match and raises it to his wound, in the hope that maybe…it would burn the bacteria away?

Some of the blood dries, giving him an idea. If it’s shallow enough maybe he can cauterize it?

The beasts on the roof look confused, then turn to find another target. However, Sharp lands directly in a huge patch of vines and flowers. The flowers puff spores at him and abruptly the metal in his stomach vanishes. The vines begin to tighten around him.

The Beast roars and goes down hard, but another one is coming up from behind and slashes at Lacket’s legs.

Sharp does his best to fight free of the vines, snapping as many as he can with his dueling canes

Sharp decides to try a different tactic, and relaxes his body completely . . . maybe then they'll leave him alone.

When he finally makes his way to the roof, he climbs to the north edge of the roof to see if this building leads right to the next, or if he has to jump to get across, not burning any metals.

Shakily, Bob stands up and walks across the first gap. While he’s there he really wants to protect Dug Nora for some reason. He vaguely identifies this as a soothing, but in his injured state he can’t stop this from happening. He takes out his extremely-scary file and looks around to see if there’s anyone attacking Dug Nora.

It takes a long time, but finally they come apart. He inhales more spores throughout. When he nearly has the vines beat, bead of sweat drips off his forehead and onto a vine, which sizzles and pulls away.

Sharp runs to the nearest fountain and starts washing his mouth out, then he does his best to wash the parts of him that touched the plant, in an attempt to counteract the spores.

The spores are all in his lungs and stomach now, but don’t seem to be having any effect. There are portions of skin that are blackened from contact with the vines, but the water helps, and soon they return to a regular color.

Sharp moves to take cover in a nearby building. He begins searching for anything made of gold he could possibly file down and swallow.

Unfortunately Sharp didn’t find anything. More vines attack her through windows, and then a rumble comes from beneath her.

For a moment, Bob is cornered between helping Dug Nora or continuing to go north. Eventually he starts slowly making his way towards the beast.

Sharp uses the same tactic again, relaxing so the vines stop tightening, then slipping away best he can, and finally filing away any remaining clingers. He decides this building sucks, so he leaves and enters the next one over.

A pair of dark red eyes appear out of the dirt and bushes, staring right at Dug. It was impossible to look away. 

"Why hello there beautiful." Her voice is eerie. Before she almost sounded like a monster, some kind of wolfish deformed possessed piece of flesh. Now she seems more human, like she has a will of her own. Its almost as if she wants this. A creepy laughter follows her words and she crawls out of the shadows. Its gotten worse, she is even bigger, more wolf like, flesh torn and muscle revealed. Half of her face is just the muscle and the other half is lined with fur like hair. She drips with blood and saliva.
